The SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD is extremely impressive and affordable. This device has 1TB space which is a lot of space for a portable device. It has plenty of room for me to store my files, pictures, videos and more. Its download and upload speeds are super fast. This SSD drive is portable, durable, convenient, and universally compatible. I was able to back up 50MB in just a moment. The device is a light grey color and is super lightweight with a nice velvety grip. The price point is perfect for how well this device works. This brand is also very well known and reputable. This is an absolute must for anyone that needs a portable drive where you can save files, documents, media, and more, just like on an internal hard drive. Highly recommended!

This portable SSD is a life saver for people like me who likes to take a lot of picture and videos. I enjoy how compact it is. Its so unnoticeable to put in any pocket and carry all our files anywhere. Now that all my computers and my phone have been upgraded to type-c charger, this can easily connect to any of the devices. the amazing part is, it is water proof !!! Basically everything inside wont be damage. SanDisk is a reputable brand, I would be interested to try more of their product.

I know I'm probably dating myself but I remember when these things were easily the size of a VHS tape. Perfect for backing up all my pics (I promise I don't still use a film camera). I love that it's ssd too. So much more stable and quiet than the old type.

Just finish testing the 2TB SSd and it performed beautifully. Recording both Audio and video in landscape and portrait in 4K 60 fps. very pleased with the test results, BUT
Total garbage, un-usable. Keep getting this error message "The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer." I've tried everything to get this working, even trying to get the drive to open on MacOS M1 and Intel silicon. I've even tried different versions of the MacOS, nothing works. Tired of this nonsense; WD/SanDisk is the only brand/company I have any problems with regarding external SSD's.
I have several. Different sizes. They have each failed me. I would love to have and feel confident enough to use them as the size and speed is attractive I have read the reviews from others, along with the standard replies from SanDisk. Wondering if SanDisk will replace the ones I have have with new products. If so, makes me feel better about using them. The risk of losing images is too large to not have confidence in any storage device.
These drives have lasted me about a year. I bought one and it became corrupt after about a year so I replaced it and now the new one is not working properly. My current 1 gig ssd external no long is able to transfer files quickly. It takes about 1 hour to transfer 1 gig. I am done with Western Digital drives.
Worked great for 5 months. Than suddenly one morning my computers no longer recolonized it. When my Mac suggested I initialize this 1TB device it says the drive has a capacity of 67.1 MB.
