No issues on Windows. I downloaded Knoppix (live Linux DVD) and used Rufus to make a bootable USB drive. Booted from the USB drive to load Knoppix. Launched G-Parted and formatted the APFS drive to NTFS. Drive now recognized in Windows 11. You could also use G-Parted Live as well but I prefer Knoppix.
I used this to edit a pretty hefty video, and it never blinked. Everything worked up to speed and I never had any problems with its functionality. It did get a little hot, but that would be expected with the editing I was doing on it. It looks and feels like the quality product that it is.
This portable SSD lives up to its advertising. It is fast, lightweight, and interfaces well with Mac Studio and MacBook Pro computers.
I am very pleased. I have been using my two PRO-G40 SSDs extensively for 2 weeks. They works without issues. I was concerned about the drives getting hot because I read the reviews from others but mine have not had an issues with heating and I have been transferring 100GBs of data.
Love this SSD Drive. I bought it for my iMac and run my Lightroom Catalogue on it. I have had it a few weeks now and it has been blazing fast. A breeze to set up as it came formatted for my Mac OS.
This drive is fast and well designed. I had been using NVMe in external enclosures because it was cheaper, but I had consistent issues with cooling. This drive solves that, while still be blazing fast. It also feels great in the hand. I haven't tested the ruggedness, but I do believe the WD claims.

I bought to store my photos library and hope that the speed would help handle the back and forth of working with photos on an external drive. It has improved some but not quite as much as I'd hoped. Does get pretty hot. Don't know why i th ought I needed to order a separate t3 cable as it came with one.
I can barely say anything good about this SSD because it simply doesn't even hit the speeds it claims. Connected through usb-c I barely get 40mb's read/write I can get it up to 450 mb's after unplugging then plugging it back in but it will again drop. I've never even seen 1000? this was a huge waste of my $$$ MY HDD IS FASTER? how?
This is an example of product marketing gone terribly wrong - for 66% less money just buy the APFS formatted version of this drive, and if you need exFAT format, just format the APFS version to whatever format you want.
