I've always heard that the cactus has many health benefits so I was excited to try these Santo Remedio Nopal, Prickly Pear Cactus Capsules. They contain Vitamin C and magnesium that really helped with my digestion. I like that they help to regulate blood sugar and also help to lower cholesterol. These are the 60 count, I will definitely get the bigger size next time. I do recommend them for overall health.

I started taking this as part of my natural supplement arsenal. The Santo Remedio Nopal, Prickly Pear Cactus Dietary Supplement works great for me because it is high in fiber and pectin content. It's known to assist in digestion, lower blood sugar, heal wounds, and reduce cholesterol. I cannot attest to whether or not it lowered my blood sugar or reduce my cholesterol, but I know it has helped with my digestion. I feel great when I take it. I take it in the morning 30 minutes before I eat my breakfast. Before, I used to feel uncomfortable after eating the homemade santa fe bowl in the mornings because of the beans and onions. After including the Nopal capsules, I feel so much better. One bottle will last you a month. I've already ordered another and will continue this. The nopal pills are fine with me. They have not made me feel ill as of yet. Not sure if there are any side-effects associated with these pills, but I haven't had any. I don't like eating cactus, but my family loves eating them. Since I know they are good for me I choose to have nopales in the form of a pill. The only thing I love about Nopales is the prickly pear fruit. I cannot get enough of them. The pills don't taste like the fruit, but that's ok. I might actually end up getting a second bottle if it helps me get some of health benefits associated with eating fresh Nopales/prickly pear.

My only concern and the reason I gave a 4 star rating and not a 5 it's because the box and bottle says " Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including Lead, which is a known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm" I know many things now this days say this but it's not something I want to see.
This is a good supplement to get nutrients like vitamin c. Nopal is known for its many benefits and this is a good way to get its benefits if you don't really like eating the actual cactus. I can't comment if I can feel the benefits of this because I haven't had it for enough time to see any type of benefit. The bottle is small and the pill sizes aren't too big. I would recommend for people who would like try to benefit from a natural resource like the cactus.
it's been almost 3 weeks since I started drinking 2 each day as recommended by Doctor Juan Rivera. I bought this to control my appetite and I think is doing the job. I feel less at cravings junk foods. I like the fact that it doesn't have the after taste most pills have.
The pills were easy to take. After the first week I noticed how much more gassy I felt. Seemed to not suppress hunger any. The second week of taking them wasn't any better in the gas situation. I've decided to stop altogether.
Please read the label which states that the product may contain lead which is known to state of California to cause cancer and birth defects!
