I love it. It is built from wood that is heavy. I will say it's a booger for one to put together so I made my husband help. He's better at that anyway. Looks wonderful in my house.
This looks very nice in person, was more solid than I thought. The directions are clear enough to follow. My husband appreciated the little bits of encouragement sprinkled throughout the instructions. Very clever and made him laugh at frustrating parts. Definitely some steps you need an extra hand or two. Took a few hours but not longer than expected. I love that my sewing machine fits nicely and I can't wait to finish setting it all and get to sewing.
Came as advertised , very functional. My wife uses it as a office setup all because of this covid 19 pandemic lol. We like that we can always put it away when not needed and we now have a lot of space. Had my bro-in-law help me set it up which I also recommend because it could become pretty cumbersome to stand up, also just to be on the safe side. It also comes w a power strip that u can set up rite next to the table, very handy and functional. I kind of wish that it came with a handle for the table so its much easier to put away or fold out, but this is also an easy fix w a quick trip to Home Depot. Very happy with our purchase.
This is a great desk. It's not solid wood, obviously, but it feels very sturdy. It was a bit challenging to put together, since I was doing it alone, but the hardest part was probably just getting the boxes inside - those were seriously heavy. I did have an issue with one part that was defective, but I contacted the company directly and they sent a replacement part within a few days with no issue. All in all it took me about 4 hours total to put together. I'm using it as an office desk for now, something I can fold up and put away when I'm not working, since it's in my living room. So I just didn't put in the shelving at the top of the cabinet, since I wanted something that could fit my second monitor, and the shelves were too low. But eventually I'm planning to use this as a sewing cabinet, and I'll be able to put the shelves in without too much issue (I hope) and use it as intended then. If you're looking for a solid piece of furniture but don't want to spend a fortune, this is a great deal.
Love this craft cabinet! Nicer than I thought, it took me 4 1/2 hrs to put together by myself at a leisurely pace. Had it delivered to my door, there were some very minor damaged edges where the paint was chipping but nothing major that is noticeable. Item was packaged very well and like previous reviews it is pretty heavy all together, but when assembling I just went piece by piece with no issues. Instructions were very clear.
good quality, very sturdy material. it was a very VERY heavy package to lift up the stairs to my apartment. took quite a while to assemble but the instructions were very detailed so that was a great help. a few of the parts were not properly aligned, I'm guessing manufacturing error; so there's a little gap between the top of the unit and the door, but it's negligible. all in all, it's a good buy.
Pros: I love this armoire. It hides the mess very well. I have a huge machine and it just fits on the upper shelf. The two bottom shelves are large enough to store more machines or supplies. So much fits in this unit. Close the door and the mess is hidden. Cons: The back piece for the unit was not sent. I called Sauder customer service and it took 4 business days and a weekend for it to arrive. I had left over white paneling on hand so I cut it down to fit the back. Very frustrating. But probably stronger than the piece provided. It took me about 10 hours to assemble (including panel cutting). Even with the missing piece I love this and wish I had got it sooner.
I was extremely excited when this armoire arrived as I had my eye on it for awhile. It came in two large boxes around 90lbs. The first box, all of the pieces were in great condition. When I opened the second box however, one of the side panels was completely split in half. I have been contacting support to try and get this fixed, however they said there is nothing they can do about it.
PARTICLE BOARD! Heavyweight particle board that the fed ex driver was unable to single handedly handle safely. For $500.00, assembly should be FAR EASIER than this multi-hour project that requires 2 people minimum to pass the time without ripping your hair out. OMG, let's be real, IKEA furniture looks like a walk in the park compared to this crap! DO NOT INVEST MONEY UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO INVEST TIME ON THIS. Wish this was made clearer from other reviews. Must level the feet to align doors; some parts came damaged (dented and finish chipped))
Worst purchase ever! Very disappointing. I had to return the item the first time because it was missing half of the parts. And this armoire is very heavy. The second time they sent it, it was very damaged! I can only post 2 of the pictures to show only some of the damages.
