I am handicapped, and had to assemble the headboard from a sitting position on the floor. It took me three evenings to finish, but I was able to do it without any help. I am very happy with the results.
GREAT quality. All of my furniture, excluding this, is Ashley. However, did not want to spend a lot of money on a bedroom set for a 4 and 10 year. I ordered this and another headboar. Loved them! really heavy, my husband did not have a difficult time putting them together. Great buy.
Very nice headboard. A little darker than picture on line, but still love it. It took me about two hours to assemble, but did not need my husbands help except to take it into the bedroom. I like the way it looks and the fact that it was made in the U.S.A. I am very pleased with this purchase.
For the price this is an excellent buy, and made in USA. Fit and finish are very good. Took me @2 hrs. to assemble the unit. Fits well with my twin bed and looks great. It came with brackets to install to your bed frame, but i had brackets for my Spa Sensations frame that worked out well.
Bought this for my Mom. She loved it, it has plenty of space for her books, radio and cds. Very nice solid product for the price.
We were very pleased with the quality of this headboard especially since it was so inexpensive. My husband said it went together very easily and had no problems with everything fitting correctly. I would certainly recommend this headboard.
Economical item; exactly what I had hoped for.
We bought this headboard for our toddler's "big-girl bed" as a way to make it special. She loves to bring toys and books with her to bed and we thought the bookshelf idea would let her enjoy bringing them with her without having to get in her way. We were right, it does. We also thought this seemed like a good headboard for her as she grows older, as it is not too young or kiddish. The material is a bit cheesy though, with it trying to look like wood but not quite being really successful at it. It is also a little darker than expected. I'm pleased with the purchase overall, and hope our daughter continues to enjoy it over the years. I do not think it would look very nice in a full size or larger, however.
Not all joined edges are flush, some bow just a crack. Weight limits are oddly low for something billed as a bookcase. Three parts are initially secured with nothing but a little rubber wedge hammered in that's difficult to seat and tore free on me. The loadbearing cardboard backing lacks guidance holes in the wood so it can go on a little crooked. Suppose I'm pleased with the end result anyways. Hard to beat eighty bucks shipped.
Sauder should mark all parts (except hardware) with assembly numbers so that they can be more easlity identified, Less than 50% had any ID marks.
