School Smart Paper Edger Scissor Set (6 pair) comes in assorted colors and are Awesome. These scissors are great for anyone who loves paper crafts, scrapbooks, school projects and cutting pictures into a certain shape. They are very durable and easy to work with. They are marked on one side with with the type of cut they make and on the other side the name of the cut they make. The types of cuts are Ripples, Mountain Peaks, Scallops, Bubbles, Lightening, and Sculptured, They are brightly colored to catch a child's eye. The only thing negative I see is they were packaged in a cardboard box and it would be a lot more attractive and useful if they were packaged in a pouch or a storage box. The most exciting thing when I received the scissors was experimenting with them to see what great designs I could make. They would make a great Christmas or Birthday gift for any child or an adult who loves to scrapbook or make crafts. I would recommend these scissors and would buy them for my family.
School smart paper edger scissor set is awesome!! Children AND adults can use them! The set comes with 6 different scissors with each a different color. Each pair has the name of the design on one side & example of design on other. 3 designs are 'simple patterns' where I find other 3 little more complicated meaning when you cut the second cut you will have to carefully line up scissors to previous cut to get pattern (see picture of 'bubble' scissors) My son doesn't care about patterns he just loves cutting with all the scissors. These appear 'child safe' but with supervision!! The blades are sharp & can cut fabric (not sure if you can cut the designs in fabric but it will 'cut' fabric) They appear durable and are easy to use. My boys (ages 4 & 5) used them without any problem. I would recommend these to anyone (child or adult). Especially someone scrapbooking these would be great!!!! The only thing I didn't 'like' is they do not have any type of 'case' so they are very easy to get lost if you don't already have an 'art box' of some sort to keep them in
The School Smart Paper Edger Scissor Set would be awesome for anyone who does scrapbooking, crafting, or for use on school projects. These would be fun and useful for smaller children, but with adult supervision, as the metal blades are a little sharp. The bright colours would make them very appealing to children. The scissors are solid and well-made and are comfortable for me to hold with my thumb and two fingers through the handle. The patterns on the set of six scissors are labeled as Sculptured, Lightning, Mountain Peaks, Bubbles, Scallops, and Ripples. They are different from other patterns I have seen. I can think of dozens of uses in which these would be helpful. Some examples would be to give photos a fancy edge, embellish a gift with a pretty tag, make boring labels attractive with a lovely edge, and easily prepare unique place cards for setting a holiday table. The ideas are endless to the many ways I will utilize these scissors. I know they would be a great gift idea for anyone who works with or takes care of children. From teachers, to troop leaders, to Sunday school instructors, this set of scissors will be useful and enjoyed.
I was excited to receive this product from the Spark Reviewer Program. I am like a crafty person and I love doing scrap booking. Not only when crafts but I have 3 girls in school and they have products to do for school every once in a while. Therefore, these scissors will be an enhancement for projects that we will have to do. My girls are 9, 6 and 16 and they are enjoying playing with these scissors. They really like to cut up paper and do many different things with these scissors. I have even caught one of my girls trying to cut one of her dolls hair with these scissors. It was so funny. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that she was trying to put the same design in her doll hair. I also like these scissors because I don't have to fear that one of the girls will end up cutting their fingers or anything because they aren't as sharp as other scissors and based on the way they are made. I don't think their little fingers can really get in there. My family also takes a lot of pictures so these are great to enhance and bring some different looks to the photos that get passed out to others and in addition pictures that we frame. I really enjoy trying new things and experimenting.
My Children love these Scissors. There is 6 colourful scissors in the set, so you have 6 different patterns with which you can create a variety of crafts. It's easy to cut with them and edge a paper, cut out a Butterfly or four-leaf Shamrock and so on. A good variety of patterns to edge photos for Scrapbooking or make pretty borders or frames for the photos. These scissors would also make a great asset to any art-classroom. They are certainly an asset to our art-supplies. The only thing to note is that the "Bubbles" scissors require just a wee little more care when cutting to keep with the pattern. This paper edger scissor set would also make a great present for Children who love to create and if there is ever a new variety-set of patterns to be purchased I am sure we will add them to our supplies. I would definitely buy this paper edger scissor set again if needed.
School Smart Paper Edger Scissor Set of 6. I am actually missing a pair of scissors, there was only 5 in my set. Not sure what pattern hat pair had. There really is so many uses for these scissors. We had a lot of snow and were out of school for a week. My Granddaughter was bored until I got the scissors. We used the scalloped scissors for making ocean waves, borders in picture frames and humps on camels. The lightning scissors we used for scrapbooking and school project. The bubbles scissors we used to make bubbles, more scrapbook work and some creative abstract art Ripped scissors again scrapbook and creative doodles. Mountain peak scissors are my Granddaughters favorite we used them for ocean waves, still more scrapbook, abstract art, and more doodles. The scissors look to be durable and they are easy to work with. There really are so many projects you could do with these scissors.
I am, unfortunately, not very "crafty", but loved these scissors. They make various designs that would be great for any crafting project. I think they would be very useful for school age children that do a lot of projects and whatnot in school. I actually used these with my kids (ages two and four, with me supervising of course) to make our family and friends some cards. They had fun with them and did not get hurt using them. They are rather tricky to use compared to regular scissors if you want it to look perfect all the way around as a border, but with some practice I'm sure I will even get that part down. They are rather small but they are also kid scissors. They come in a variety of colors also which my kids loved. I think these would be a great addition to a classroom or even a preschool and they would get a lot of use out of them by doing projects like cards, posters, presentation type assignments. I did not have any of this growing up unfortunately, but I think this would have gave my projects that extra pop to help with my grades even more. I would definitely recommend this product.
I know the name is school smart but I assumed they were normal sized craft scissors, they are not. I included a pick next to a tape measure. You can see the cutting design printed on the side of the scissors, basic designs, nothing too crafty and exciting. That being said , once its clear that they are not suitable for adults, these are great beginner scissors for kids getting into crafts. They are perfect size for small hands, no sharp edges ( blades are sharp of course ) and pattern is clearly displayed. One complaint is that they don't cut very clean lines, I tried to upload a second pic of the cut designs on paper but kept getting error messages so I gave up but they leave unfinished edges every few inches and since they are so small, each cut is only a couple inches whish leaves lots of imperfections. They are however pretty easily removed with a pinch of the fingers. Bottom line, good for kids activities so I would recommend them.
As a former teacher, school supplies have always been of interest to me. Even though I am retired, I still get excited when I find new tools such as these scissors. The six scissors are brightly colored which will catch the eye of children. They are marked on one side with the cut they make and on the other side with a name to describe the cut. The names of the cuts are Ripples, Sculptured, Mountain Peaks, Scallops, Lightning, and Bubbles. I think that having both the names and pictures of the cuts are a wonderful idea for all ages, from early learners to retired teachers like myself. The scissors are well made with metal plates that have different shaped teeth for the six different cuts. They should prove to be useful for my granddaughter who is in the middle of completing her Science Fair project. She will be able to change the look of the edges of her lettering which could catch the eye of the Science Fair judges. The one thing that disappointed me about this scissor set is that they did not come in a handy storage case of some description. I can see how easy it will be for them to get separated from each other.
My daughter and I love to do crafts so the School Smart Paper Edger Scissor Set was a perfect edition to our collection of crating supplies. Each pair of edgers has a different shape that it cuts. They are as follows: Mountain Peaks (blue and yellow), Sculptured (green and yellow), Scallops (light purple and yellow), Lightning (orange and yellow), Bubbles (red and yellow), and Ripples (dark blue and yellow). The scissors are about five inches tall and three inches wide. The size is perfect for my hands and easy for kids to handle as well. They do cut easily with no problems like sticking or snagging the paper. These are great if you like to do scapbooking; making party invitations for birthdays, Easter, Valentines Day,Christmas, and Halloween; edging photos for frames; and even creating recipe cards with decorative edges. The possibilities are endless with this set of edgers. The quality is good as they are made out of hard sturdy plastic with the blades being made of metal. They are not too bulky or heavy and you can store these easily. Great for art class and home crafts. I would gladly recommend this edger set to anyone who likes crafts. It is a perfect edition to any craft collection!
