I actually bought my first cell phone holder when traveling. It worked perfect! I mounted it on my dash and was able to rotate it so I could easily see it while driving. Perfect for using GPS! I bought another Scosche Mobile Mount Kit for my husband. He mounted his on his windshield. We've used them for months and LOVE them! They are very versatile for different sized devices.
If you are looking for a great, affordable Mobile mount this is the one for you. The mount where the actual device is held stretches out to around 3 or 4 inches to so it will fit any phone you throw at it. I have a larger phone, the HTC EVO 3D, and it fits like a glove. The neck is very stiff which is good so the device remains firmly in place throughout the duration of the drive. The last part is the suction cup is incredibly strong! You can move the device and adjust it while it is on your windshield and it doesn't budge. Now the mount also comes with a sticky pad to mount on the dash or a clip to mount on the air vent but I didn't use these so I can't offer an opinion on that but assuming they are as good as the window mount I'm sure they work perfectly.
Fits great on the windshield on driver's side. Doesn't obstruct my view. Great product allowing my phone visible when needing driving directions. Considering getting another one.
Bought this as a gift for my husband for his iPhone 6 to use for travel and to answer calls while on the road, he loves it! He is using the car vent holder, it holds the phone securely, easy to install, and very easy to retrieve phone after use.
I tried, and returned several vent and window mounts just because they were either not supporting my phone and my gps, or they simply shake and lie off balance when I have a bump while driving. This one was spot on! It fixes really well on the windshield and the vent, donesn't shake, and is adjustable for all angles. This is a bit pricey compared to other mounts you would get, but the price is worth it.
This product is work like a charm. I had to try several products it's says universal. But none of those cheap one did not work for my phone except this one. I want you to remember that is what ever products say universal ,,,,,those are not working!! I purchased droid incredible from Verizon wireless. So I was start looking for which universal GPS or PDA wind shield mount will work. This one is working for any device that came with square shape like most handy device. As you see on product picture side arm has cusions. That hold tight enough your device. Also both arm can be separate from center. (like picture on right arm) Those were perfect fit my PDA without diturbing a USB connector and volume botton. The point is this is the REAL UNIVERSAL!! When you are not using your PDA you can switch to reguler GPS so you don't have to bring two suction cap.
We needed something to hold the phone for GPS function. Used for our trip out west totalling 5000 miles round trip. Worked like a charm!! Easy to take out of RV and put in rental car as well.
I didn't want to attach it to the windshield (it would be in the way), nor did I want to stick a mounting disk to the dashboard (unsightly and may ruin the dash when you try to take it off), but because of the stiff but flexible mount, I was able to attach the mounting disk to the side of my center console, bend the mount 90 degrees with some tweaking, and was able to have the mount hold the smartphone close to the console and out of the way of everything else. It's right there where I can see and use the phone, but not in the way. Perfect. The holder is great and is sturdy with very little movement as you drive. The unit will fit a wide variety of phones. I bought two and have them in both cars. Very satisfied with these units.
This product is well designed and HTC one cell phone. It has plenty of adjustment to allow for my cord. I would have given it 5 star rating but, I give it a 4.9. The adjusting mechanism for the with of the GPS clamps could be smoother. I have a feeling they may strip out because of how hard it is to release. Expensive to have such a rough release. Overall I love it.
great mobile mount for windshield and vent. the only problem with the vent mount is that I can see the phone getting to hot in the winter when you use the heater. other than that good product
