This stuff works great if you actually maintain your yard. People have terrible lawns and expect some miraculous transformation. If you don't have a good lawn and good soil don't expect your yard to look like a magazine picture.
Documentation is awful. It says it kills listed weeds but the label does not contain the list. I can't find anything in the Scott's website, where the bag says to go. The label also says if using a Scott's rotary spreader to use setting 3.25. I have a Scott's elite and its document says to use setting 4.5. Make up your mind, Scotts. Where is the list of weeds it kill…you know…as required by federal law?
I bought and applied this product 3 weeks ago and see that my grass is much greener and thicker but my dollar weed and oxalis are also much healthier than before application , was not expecting this result. This is not the first year I have used this product, but the first time I feel it has not performed as should have. This does not make me happy…
Ruined my lawn! The weeds seem to thrive and grass is dead! Used Scotts spreader at recommended setting. Never had trouble with s Scotts. I'm using Roundup now to try to kill weeds. Waste of time and money.
Bought this three weeks ago to support newly growing grass. The grass I had planted was growing healthily for 3-4 weeks. I hadn't cut it and was watering regularly as directed. I used a spreader to spread the Turf Builder triple action, followed watering and care directions and within days, grass bleached out and burned. It killed grass that I had spent time, money and effort on and converted something that was looking really nice into a redo. Shame.
While I'm usually confident and satisfied with Scotts products and purchase them over less expensive brands. I'm disappointed with this purchase. Three of the four bags were a mixture of approximately 2/3 white and 1/3 blue pellets; one of the bags had an even mixture of white, blue, and pink pellets. The primary appeal of this product was the Triple Action. Did I just waste my money, time, and energy just to spend more money, time, and energy to get the results I need?
I put this on several weeks ago using a Scotts spreader and following instructions, and the weeds are still growing like mad has done nothing for my lawn. If I can't get my money back I will have to eat the cost and take it to hazardous waste to get rid of it.
When I opened the bag, the product was one solid piece. I was able to cut off a section and break it into smaller pieces using a tool for breaking up ice, then pulverizing it by hand. The setting for the broadcast spreader was too low, but even after incrementally increasing the opening, the product did not dispense properly. Most of the product remained in the spreader. After two frustrating hours I gave up. Although I have been a loyal Scott customer for years, I will buy products from other companies instead.
Followed directions exactly. Put it down a month ago and I do not notice any difference with the grass and the clover is back growing like crazy! Will not spend this kind of money again with Scott's. The white you see in the pics is the clover flowering! Very disappointing.
I spent an hour breaking up all of the clumps of fertilizer. Not what I was expecting. I spread this on my lawn two weeks ago and it hasnt work the way it says it does.
