I have this and the Curad ones! Both are excellant products! The Curad is thin and will give you the sensation of wetness but it isn't! The Seal Tight is a thicker more of a rubbery plastic and I don't get the wet sensation! But, either one is awesome! The only time my cast got wet was when I bagged and taped my cast! I have only used these in a shower and I stay in until the hot water is all gone with full shower force on my cast!
The product stands true to what it says it does. I have used it several times now and have not had one drop of water anywhere on my cast using it in the shower. I would highly recommend!
This protector works very well. Keeps dressing on foot completely dry and very easy to use. Much easier than taping plastic bags on.
This worked perfect . When I first received it and looked at the opening I thought water would get through. I have used it to shower numerous times and not one drop of water gets in. So happy I purchased it. I highly recommend it to anyone who get a cast wet,
Seal-tight sport cast and wound protector is a great invention. After left foot operation it was nice to continue to swim. I have continue to do my water sports whilst being immobilized on land. Being in plaster for 6 weeks is no fun while the heat of the desert reaches over one hundred degrees. It enables people to have a full and happy live.
I was surprised at how well this works. I've been using it now daily for almost two weeks. It's easy to put on and the seal seems to be so good, that I think I could swim with it on.
Material is strong but elastic, won't tear. Opening stretches and expands easily over leg, cast, bandages, etc. Seals perfectly, keeping water out, leg dry as a bone! Contracts back to original size, time-after-time. Price was fair for the high quality and absolute effectiveness of the product. Delivery by Walmart was great. Sam Walton, God bless you! This product is made of a thick, durable material, however using it in the shower over a lower leg bandaged wound that could not get wet, Imwas disappointed that water got into the cover, apparently from the top. The band at the top fit snugly, however moving around in the shower did not keep it in place. I can't imagine that it is suitable for swimming. I needed to wrap my leg in Saran Wrap under the dry cover to ensure the bandage did no get wet. I would recommend spending the extra money and purchasing a protector from DryPro instead!
I'm having ankle surgery next month and will have a short cast on my foot and ankle. So I decided to test out the seal tight cast protector in the pool. I swam laps for about 35 minutes and it leaked about two cups of water. So I bought a second protector to use inside the outside protector. The outside protector still leaked about two cups of water but the inside protector kept my foot and ankle dry. So I will use two protectors. when I get my cast to swim. Also, it's important to squeeze out as much air as possible by inserting your leg with the protector on in the water and letting the air out before swimming. Otherwise any air inside will bubble out, letting in water.
I had foot surgery and was trying to protect the sutures from getting wet. This item did not prevent water from getting to my foot. I used this in the shower and my pool and my foot still got wet.
