real paracord with 7 internal strands. price is great. wish there were more colors...
Inner core is standard 7 strand nylon type parachute cord. This is excellent, full size/diameter inner strands. For the uninitiated: For safety; rope manufacturers usually recommend a WORKING LOAD that is 1/3 of the gross tensile strength. This manufacturer recommends 110 pounds WORKING LOAD. NORMAL working load is calculated like this: 550 X .333 = 185. Buying more now that I have inspected this product.
I bought these specifically because the description said: "550 lb maximum load" When I received them, the tag on the paracord stated a 110 pound load!!! Really... Will be returning!
