I bought these to use in our practice space and I am super impressed with them. I wouldn't hesitate to use them live. They are great.
Good bass and clean highs. Not harsh like other brands ive used over the years. Im ordering 2 more today. Worth every penny.
I am a retired sound engineer with more than 40 years of experience, specializing in live sound reinforcement. I have a sound system at a bar and use Yamaha dual 15 with horn's as my mains, on 15 in pedestals to get them off the floor a bit. I wanted to add 10 inch speakers to enhance the vocal range produced by the PA and get a little more SPL in the room without adding power. The room has a low ceiling and needed a speaker that was no more than 22 inch tall and would handle 250 watt or more. These fit the bill perfectly. The SA 10's are hooked directly to the Yamaha 15's. This put my resistance to the amp at 3.2 ohm, well above the 2 ohm rating of the amp. This made a huge difference in the sound in the room. Much more presence in the vocals (which is what I was after). At the same SPL point in the room, my amp runs at lower power, giving me more headroom if needed. 3 years ago I was asked by a friend who owns a local bar if I would be interested in running karaoke at the bar. Since I am retired I thought it would be great to do something with my live sound experience. I am having a great time at this, really a lot of fun for an old retired sound guy.
I use these monitors for individual solo performing. These monitors perform as described when used with a powered (250 watt) mixer. For the money, these monitors are excellent. I am pleasantly surprised with these monitors and plan on making future purchases from Seismic Audio.
I use these in my personal rehearsal and study space. They may not be the great sound of 800 dollar speakers but they are well made, shipping was free and I can afford them. With a prompt delivery I am happy to use them.
We ordered 2 a couple of months ago and liked them so much we ordered 2 more. We use them for our church monitors, we didn't need a lot of volume just a clean sound , that's what we got. Excellent value..
I bought these for church to replace old junk and I hoped for the best. We were on a budget. Powered them with a crown xti 1000 which pushes about 250 watts to all four speakers. They are awesome. I have the amp turned down to about 40 percent, and I could easily push these far louder than you would ever want a monitor. They are not great for full range, but in a pinch you could use them as full range PA speakers. For monitors - PERFECT.
Very pleased with the floor monitors - sound it so much better and certainly more powerful. The cables might have been a bit overpriced after comparing the competitors prices online and while visiting Guitar Center store.
Wish I could give 5 stars..Bought 4 , 10 inch , fault-line floor monitors. recvd. very well , great shipping. Very nice sound , using for full band (hittin kinda hard at times) and acoustic 3 pc. BUT... last job , lost 1 horn during show , drum monitor. When I was switching out , (during set mind you) ,horn came back on. Knew right away connection issue , not blown horn. Next day removed horn and found a very weak link. The wire is properly tinned , but CRIMPED to a spade lug. The lug was crimped on the insulation , not fully on wire. I soldered , no prob. fixed. While apart , I checked the other drivers. EVERY one was loose crimped. I soldered all the wire ends to the spade lugs....hmmm... Now I'm nervous... Took apart All 4 monitors and found at least 2 loose spades on each. Soldered them all. OMG. These are built like tanks , sound great , look good. But to have this basic simple issue arise is surprising. Hey Seismic , have your techs check into this , this really shouldn't happen. I am very pleased with monitors though , would buy again , but just letting you know. Thanx dan
