Just connected these up to my power amp and got the surprise of my life. I'm 65 and have owned speakers over the years made by all the major companies. I've never been so impressed with a new product... Just ran my arranger keyboard, a hammond m-3 and a digital piano through them all at the same time, about as loud as I want to ever get. The sound was crystal clear, feeling the bass in my feet. I couldn't be more pleased!
I use these speakers for my mobile DJ/Karaoke business and power them with Behringer PMP4000 powered mixer and they sound awesome. Great bass response. I don't even use my 18" subs unless its a big venue. You get 2 speakers for less then then the price of one speaker from the big brand companies. My DJ friends are amazed when I tell them how much I paid and how great they sound.
So being a girl I ordered these speakers thinking, oh these will be cool to hook up to my television. Well, when they came they are more like party size than television size. Even better! I had my son unpack them because they were pretty heavy. They came in their own individual box per speaker. They were packed very tightly and secure to prevent damage in shipping. They arrived safe and sound. I was clueless to what the next step was. The speakers came with a small manual on how to hook up to sound equipment. That's when my son took over. I had no clue what cords to even buy at Walmart to connect them to our home stereo. He ended up needing to purchase RCA cables. He hooked it all up and it was fairly easy and fast. And let me tell you! Those bad boys are loud! The sound was crystal clear and there was no fuzzy feedback or rattling. We all danced like we were at a concert! Our family and friend parties are going to be the talk of the street now! I am very impressed with the quality of sound these speakers put out. They have a nice eye appeal as well. There are handles on the sides of the speakers for easy moving but they are still pretty heavy for me to lift. I would assume they are over 25lbs each. If you are looking for some powerful sound I would defiantly recommend these speakers!
Outstanding for the price. I'm using these both independent and in series with other cabinets. They mix very well with some Black Widow fifteen's, giving some good bottom. But I must say that the 15" speakers in these to hold there own when using by themselves . The thing I love about all SA speakers cabinets is there light weight construction while at the same time being both durable and must important, having a quality sound.
I’d had an old, workhouse Yamaha PA amp sitting around for a few years. Finally had a reason to buy some speakers to go along with it. These speakers seem perfect for an that is 250 watts @ 8 ohms. I finally got to put them through their paces last night at a party and even with just the measley ipad headphone output amp, these had lots of good mid range punch, clean high end, and a nice round bottom end. I was playing a variety of music from house, to techno, to 80s and 90s dance pop. A sub might be a nice addition, but honestly unless you are playing to some audiophile crowd, I don’t think the drunk people who want to dance are going to notice.
I don't normally write reviews, however, I need to give credit where credit is due! I purchased 4 of these bad boys (SA-15T) along with two Enforcer II subs and the Epicenter 5004 in March 2014 to pursue a mobile DJ career. The first year I simply got accustomed to the equipment, mixing and invested in lights, developed my website, built my own DJ booth, etc. By the second year, I felt very comfortable about starting to promoting my business. I have since then DJ'd/MC'd several weddings and events. I have received so many compliments on the sound quality of my set up. They certainly put out some POWER! I am TOTALLY satisfied with my purchases. I will continue to patronize Seismic Audio! Thanks for producing such a great product line at a GREAT price. Looking forward to investing in a back up Epicenter 5004 in the near future!
WOW! I just received the Seismic Audio Pair 15" PA DJ PRO AUDIO Speakers. I was expecting 15 inch cabinets, but they actually have 15 in woofer speakers in side 25 in tall cabinets. These huge speakers and will work good in our home church. They have a excellent clean sound when powered by my old school Yamaha EM 1800 mixer, no distortion with guitars ,mikes or keyboards. The SA speakers are top quality and come equipped 15 inch woofers with 50 oz magnets and a kapton voice coil, and two 1.5 inch titanium tweeter horns. The speaker are rated at 350 watts rms and 700 watts peak power, they come with two 1/4 inch and two speakon jacks. The cabinets measure 25x20x16 inches and weight 52 pounds per speaker cabinet. and come with a full metal grill and a pole mount. These speakers are awesome, bottom line. You can't find a better price on such great sound anywhere else. I would recommend these speakers to any looking for good sound ,and a low priced top quality and durable enough for gigs. The one year warranty, low cost and clear sound make them a must have speaker for on the road or at home.
These are Amazing 15 inch Pro Audio Speaker Cabinets that deliver every sound loud and clear, with dual Pro Audio 15 inch woofers, 1.5 inch titanium tweeter driver, a frequency response of 45 HZ to 20,000 HZ and 700 watts RMS, 14 watts peak power. Whether you are doing a DJ gig, wedding, church event, school dance or even a club gig, these quality speakers will deliver the sound you want! Great quality mains are very hard to find especially at a decent price. The Seismic Audio brand was designed to make even the low funded or beginner DJ sound great. The Seismic Audio PA/DJ Pro Audio Speakers are NOT recommended for use with a home stereo or home theater system as they require much more power than a normal home stereo/theater system can supply. To use these speakers a 2 channel power amplifier or amplified mixer (500 watt RMS) and speaker cables (12-16 gauge) is needed just to get started (replacement parts and accessories pg 4 owner's manual). With a great look and terrific sound these Seismic Audio Pro Audio PA/DJ speakers are perfect for the beginning to the professional DJ or band This is an incredible value and I highly recommend these speakers.
The Seismic Pro Audio 700W PA DJ Speakers offer Crisp clear sound with low end presence. My husband is worship leader at our local church and I mix the sound. We daisy changed these speakers together with a QSC 850 power amp. Each speaker is 8 ohms and when daisy changed they become a 4 ohm load across the power amp. We bridged the amp to give it a Mono output so to give a total of 600 watts at 4 ohms. So each speaker was getting 300W of peak wattage. My husband has a good knowledge of sound theory as he has been involved with music and recording for 35 years. We used these speakers during a live performance with the worship team band. Running roughly at 100 db , there was no feedback or crackling nor was there any distortion. The internal passive crossover at 2.5khz provided the vocals to be crisp and there was no low end muddiness. These speakers have an option of connecting them with either a speakon cable or a 1/4" audio cable. We chose to purchase the speakon cables through the Seismic Audio web-site as these did not come with audio cables. My husband recommends the speakon cables as they provide a more secure connection as they lock in to the speaker jack. These speakers can be pole mounted if need be and they are relatively light weight for a 15" two-way speaker. the speaker cabinets are covered in a black carpet have metal corners for protection. They also have recessed handles which make for easy carrying and for transporting. They have dual ports which helps the low end sound. Over all these speakers are of a good quality we have only had the opportunity to use these a few times and can't say how they will hold up if used on a more continuous basis. We chose not to run them at there peak wattage as we used them as stage fill monitors. Over all these speakers are made well, not top notch, but are solid as my husband would say. These would work well for a DJ or for using in a small venue.
First off im going to say i did not use these speakers as designed or intended and there is a reason for this. When i got these speakers they weren't damaged and seemed good but i went to hook them up and one would not work so i opened the back up and found the crossover (the speaker controller) was missing a fuse which i found rolling around inside the box and the reason for that was the tabs that hold the fuse in place were broken. This part from the maker was about $25 plus shipping so i removed the crossover on both and wired them directly. this is why i said i didnt use them as intended. since i removed the crossover i hooked them up to my home stereo system which seems to work. the sound quality pretty good but could use more bass. at first i thought it was my receiver so i swapped receivers but that still didn't help. Dont get me wrong it does has pretty good bass but not very good considering these speakers have 15 inch subs. final verdict, are these speakers worth it? no
