I thought it quit working but it was on sleep mode. Other than that I love it
peace of mind for parents and its very easy to use
I liked because is very fast and it's monitored from phone and let you know about any baby movement.
We are 1 week home with our little guy and this monitor is helping this 2nd time mom get some rest. I had terrible postpartum anxiety with my first born due to several miscarriages before her. And I literally stayed awake watching her breathe. I did find a wearable breathing monitor with her around 4 months old but they no longer carry that brand, so when we found out we were pregnant again, I immediately started worrying about his sleep. I was able to find this one and have used it since day one one from the hospital. It alerts for movement, if they roll to their stomach, temperature drops and highs, and will even alert you for room temperature. We have been pleased so far. No false alarms yet, and it was easy to set up. It can be tricky to get a proper placement, especially if they are little like my guy. But nothing so bad that I would not recommend it. I won't say I'm never worried about him because I'm a loss mommy, but I can sleep with him wearing it which is a big change from my last one.
I highly recommend this baby monitor for first time parents. My baby is 4 weeks old and we've used this so we can sleep better at night. We also use it during the day so we can check her body temperature.
Easy set up, and allows for some peace of mind at night. Alarms is perfect volume and seems very accurate.
Sensor works great and the app is easy to use. The only annoying part is the endless in app ads to try to get you to buy the premium version.
I love the monitor and price. It gives me peace of mind and I think monitors better than an owlet. Overall I would recommend. The downside would be that one, it sometimes comes off the diaper and causes false alarms, but checking during nighttime feedings would fix it. You also have to remember to turn the sensor off during feedings because it will alarm like the baby is on their stomach. Otherwise, definitely a worthy investment!
We had preemie twins come home and we needed a way to monitor them throughout the night because of breathing issues with their reflux. We wanted to find an alternative to the owlet because it was more expensive and had many negative reviews. The sense u wasn't it. The only notification we got was if the baby was cold or on its belly and neither were accurate. There was no tracking system to let us know if it had to vibrate the baby throughout the night. So we were unsure if it was even working. We ended up buying an owlet because the data on the app was so much better and gave us more peace of mind.
I bought this for peace of mind and I don't get peace of mind. If the diaper gets too full during the middle of the night before baby wakes up this falls off and it's still “tracking” not sure what it's tracking when it's not even touching the skin. It never alerts you that it's detached. It also says it's detached on the app (but does not alert me with a sound) when it's sitting just perfect on my baby. I have to flick it with my finger and it'll start tracking again, this is annoying because when it does this it is not tracking and never alerted me that it wasn't so you could go hours with this and not know it. That defeats the purpose for me. One night before bed it decided to disconnect itself and log itself out of my phone so we had to set up all over AGAIN! Which was very annoying because we need the diaper clip to get it reconnected and I had already had it on my baby before it was discovered which meant taking it off, waking my baby and spending 30 minutes how to figure it out when the steps weren't working that the phone gave. I hate the device itself has to be turned off on the app and not by a button on the clip or base station. The Bluetooth connection sucks! It's not a very far range my baby's room is across the hall from us so not far at all and I can't have the base station in my room because of the poor connection, luckily baby sleeps in my room at night so not an issue for us currently but it will be, we have just tried this for naps during the day. The only thing I like about this is the base station, it's nice to look up and see oh it's green all is good or when you get an alert of low movement and your dead asleep not sure what's going on you can look and see it's flashing red and rush to baby. I personally wish we would of bought something else, I bought this because it was cheaper/on sale then the one I had wanted and I regret that. We have a movement monitor that goes under the mattress that works amazing but I haven't figured out how to put that in my pack n play yet so I'll unfortunately be using this as I don't have a choice and don't want to keep spending more $$ and will just checking it all the time and making sure everything is on to get alerts.
