I purchased this coffeemaker a week ago because I only drink one cup a day. I am very happy with the taste of the coffee that is made by this coffee maker and it is fast and convenient with the coffee pods. Clean up is very easy, with no coffee pot to clean. It is great for people like me who only drink a cup or two a day and do not need a whole pot of coffee. One thing I don't like is that I would like to be able to just brew the coffee into a travel mug and this does not work with this coffee maker since it is too short. Another thing is I have to make two "cups" to fill my standard travel mug since it rates a cup of coffee as only 4 ounces! That must be a european measurement because a cup in the USA is at least 6 ounces. If you can overlook these two concerns, the coffee is wonderful--it tastes like coffee from a premium coffee house.
We absolutely love our Senseo Coffee pod machine! We have owned the Senseo for almost 20 years. We bought them for our office...our Motor Home and friends! It's easy, clean and fast. The coffee is amazing!
I've found resuable ecopads made for the Philips Senseo can help you create the type of coffee you desire. The Costco roasted Sumatra or Colombian whole coffee beans need to be ground med fine to fine. The froth/taste/texture is par non equal to that of a coffee shop. It's 3 years now and it's still running great though it's lost an internal component to it like a silver mini bar that seems to be part of the pop up lid. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
Couldn't possibly be easier! And so much less wasteful than making even a portion of a pot of coffee in my regular Bunn machine (which I also love). For mornings when it's just me at home, this is the machine I should have gotten ages ago!!! Also, I purchased the white model, so it goes well in my kitchen.
A friend has this coffee maker and I loved the coffee so much that I had to get one. I love the creama from the senseo coffee--do wish the coffee stayed hot a little longer but overall I am happier with this maker than my other single-serve maker. Also. more economical and less "trash, ie:cups" than "cup" makers.
I love my Senseo coffee maker. Since I'm the only coffee drinker in the house this thing is great. Makes the perfect cup of coffee in about 2 minutes with a frothy top like an espresso machine. Clean up couldn't be easier, just dump the coffee pod in the trash and rinse the pod holder. There's no grinds, no pot to wash, and no throwing away half a pot of coffee you don't drink. Granted it costs a little more than a regular coffee machine but I thought it was worth it. The coffee pods are also more expensive than regular coffee, but it tastes a lot better too. I get the dark roast pods and they're as good as any gourmet coffee I've had. Mine came with a travel mug which is great since I can make coffee to go in no time at all.
This coffeemaker is for real coffee lovers. Coffee house quality right in your own home or office.
This product is good, but my other model was far superior to this one.
I was disappointed that the pods are only designed for a 4 ounce cup of coffee. I bought it because I thought that it would be more economical than the Keurig machines, but if you have to use 2 or more pods to get a decent cup of coffee it won't save you anything. Otherwise it appears to work great and is very easy to use.
A couple of improvements are bigger reservoir (still undersized), and shorter spout to fit normal size cups. Other than that I really wish I had my money back. The old style I have had 10+ years was the best coffee maker ever . It finally quit on me and I bought a new original XL. It looks similar from a distance is the only "original" thing. Please remake the old one, I miss my good coffee. This thing is barely better than a Keurig.
