The briefcase sized heavy safe does exactly what I want it to do. I use fireproof zipper cases to put must have documents and cash into the secure safe. There is plenty of room for a large document sized zipper case. The safe will protect against a fire but I personally like the idea of double protection with the fireproof document sized zipper cases.
If you want your property safe then you need to get one of these safes . You can't go wrong with it I love it 👍🏾
This safe box is very secure. I feel it will protect important papers and documents from fire or water damage. It is very heavy due to the construction and protections. This model is large enough in its dimensions to deep 8 1/2" x 11" documents. It is reassuring to have important papers etc in a portable well protected box to transport when I want it.
This safe is the perfect size for the paperwork and valuable we wanted to keep protected from a fire.
The Sentry safe seems sturdy and reliable. It doesn't feel flimsy. I am very confident in it's ability to keep my documents safe and secure. I just got it though and hope I don't have to prove it's water/fire resistancy.
I was very much satisfied with every detail about the safe except the plastic carry handle.My first impression was that the plastic carry handle is a very weak point in the overall designed. The chest is very well built, i.e. it by itself is heavy. Maybe I'm wrong, but with the added weight of a lot of internal documents, I think over time the carry handle will fail.
I do feel like it will protect my documents from fire and some water risk. I'm still putting them in a water proof bag too. They could make registration easier though. The documentation does not have the serial, model, or key number like they say in the registration instructions. There are numbers on the packaging and keys. The packaging doesn't say what number is what though so make a guess and hope they honor it. I hope it holds up and keeps my things safe if it is ever necessary.
File folders do not fit laying down. So you have to take your files out and just lay them in there. Opening is just bigger than an 8.5 by 11 but not by much. If you want to put files in it and keep them organized then you need to go with a larger safe.
I have had the safe less than a month and the key will no longer open my safe. Based on this I am not happy with this product. Now i will have to pry open and send back to be replaced. Hoping to have a better product next time.
My brand new safe will not close completely. There is a gap btw the top and bottom.
