We bought it to store papers in, it is very heavy and very well made.
All I needed was a safe and cost efficient file safe. My new file safe holds all my important documents and records. It does not take up a lot of space.
The safe seems to be made well and strong. However, its smaller inside than I thought it would be. Also, as stated in the title of my ratting, you can't really rate a fire safe unless it actually been in a fire.
Sturdy and compact. Standard length hanging files fit perfectly with along the raised lip in the interior. I would've given 5 stars if there was a tray that fit over the main cavity.
This safe is a good buy but in this year I noticed it has developed a crack on the outer skin of the safe I only had it for three years because of this I cannot give it a five star review
The safe got jammed after like a month of me having it, it would no longer lock because it was stuck halfway between lock and unlock. Not saying they are all bad products I just got a defective one. They send me a different smaller safe in the mail after I reported it though.
Absolute junk... Plastic internal parts for latch handle. I bought this “safe” (using that word loosely) for my dads will and DD214. Hasn't lasted 2 years before plastic pieces broke. Very disappointing to say the least. Thought I was doing a good thing. WRONG!
Bought my safe in march 2019, and after 2 years, indoors in a normal environment, no fires, no excessive heat or cold, no moves or anything, the plastic shell has extensive cracking, there are long cracks running the length of every side of the shell. I can probably peel the shell off by hand. The interior is some kind of dusty white material, like plaster, and the safe is shedding dust on the floor. Was really expecting the safe to last longer and not need replacement every couple years.
I would not recommend this product. The bottom half of the locking part has come completely off. I can push it back on, but it's loose and will just fall off again. I had this happen just after one year of use.
This safe is trash. Since day one it has been incredibly hard to open. Now the handle to open the safe has broken and the safe won't open.
