I love the design of this mattress. While a little more expensive than some others, I love that there is a newborn/infant side that is very firm, and a slightly softer side for a toddler. That is really important to me to help prevent SIDS. Can't wait for my twins to get here to start sleeping on this mattress!
This is a very nice mattress and I love how you can use it at first at an infant mattress and then just flip it over and use it for a toddler mattress. It is very dourable and I just love the little sheep all over it! This mattress will be used for many years until my son is ready for a twin bed. Great product!
we bought this mattress for our daughter and son-in-laws first baby. i really like the dual purpose mattress as she can use this mattress when the baby goes into his toddler bed. the price was an added bonus as the quality of the mattress is very good for the value. the firmness of the mattress for the infant is very good and feel it will stand up to the test of time as he goes from crib to bed. i am very satisfied and recommend this mattress to everyone.
This mattress fits very snugly into our crib, which is important for keeping baby safe. We chose this mattress for a couple of reasons. First, it has a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. Secondly, it has a high coil count with an extra-firm side for infants, which helps prevent SIDS, and then it can be flipped over for use in a toddler bed later. The toddler side is more plush. Besides feeling the mattress, the only way to tell which side is intended for infants is that the sheep printed on one side of the mattress have "1" on their backs to indicate which is the infant side. However, there are no sheep with "2" on their backs on the toddler side, just another type of pattern. I think they could have done a better job of labeling the two sides of the mattress more clearly, but other than that, it seems to have been a great purchase!
I purchased this matress for our first child's crib. We have not use it yet, but will soon. The matress looks like it is well made and meets safety standards. It is not a square cornered matress though. I think it is a great product for the money. It is a double sided matress which I did not realize when I purchased it. One side for infants, one for toddlers. Great! I hope that we will get some quiet nights out of it!
This is exactly as described. We had a great experience with site to store shipping, brought it home and put it in the crib. Fits very well. Not too heavy, will be easy for my husband to change the sheets! I expect to use this for a long time once the baby comes in August. You can defiantly tell the difference between the two sides which is really nice.
I recently bought this mattress for a crib we just purchased for our 5 month old. We transitioned him from a pack & play to this and he seems to love sleeping on it! I like the fact that it is firm on one side for infants and softer on the other side for toddlers so we can continue to use it with our crib that folds out into a bed for him later. Even though the price for this is a little higher than other mattresses I think the quality of this mattress and the fact that you can use it for your little one as a toddler as well makes it worth the extra.
Very disappointed in the quality of this mattress! Returned it to Walmart within a week. Mattress arrived with one of the corners permanently compressed--so much for corner clips that could withstand a toddler standing on them! The mattress was NOT at all firm on either side--seemed as though there was lots of space between coils which is probably why the product specifications did not specify a coil count. Don't waste your money on this one--it's the same quality as the $80 mattresses.
I was very excited to purchase this product afer exstensive research. Unfortunately, I found that this mattress was not wide enough for my crib. I could get two fingers in between the mattress and the crib. NOT GOOD!!!! The crib is a standard crib, the ellis by simplicty, and the mattress is also standard size, WIERD! So, I had to purchase a Colgate mattress to fit the crib. Hope this helps!!!!
This mattress is not as comfortable or as durable as expected for the cost. Vinyl cover is cute, and the size is perfect, but the mattress itself is NOT worth the cost, especially considering the foam core, fireblocker, and vinyl cover (and the contents therewithin). I strongly advise anyone who is considering this mattress to do your research first! We will be returning this mattress and opting for an organic replacement for our newborn.
