I have been using the 8 mm needles for years. They have a comfortable point on the needle. They screw on to my insulin pen, but they do not come to a stop, I can continue turning the needle, even after it is fully attached to the pen. That doesn't seem to be a problem though. They work just fine. The price is very good. Name brand pen needles are 5-10 times more expensive. When I first started buying these they were made in Switzerland. I noticed the new boxes I bought last month are made in China. They seem to be as comfortable. They have resolved the problem of not screwing on tightly. The new, made in China, needles stop twisting when they are properly seated. I give them 5 stars.
