I know the toy has a recommended age but my son who is one has this and plays with it great. He has learned where the sesame street monsters names and where they go in the school bus and how the door opens. My husband also plays with this too when he is playing with our son, that is what he says. It holds up well and GN, my one year old, in not very kind when it come to the handling of toys.
My Son just turned 1 and he loves Elmo. While browsing for Christmas gifts that were ELMO, I came across this and thought I would take a chance and get it for him. It turns out that he loves it. It has interchangeable characters that you can purchase. He loves putting the characters in and out of it and he also pretends to ride it himself. It's a great lil product.

Great toy for toddler who loves wheels...
I thought it would have some sounds to it or even the Count would say something for Elmo to get on the bus of even do more but all it does is have a button for the child to push that opens the door and at the same time moves the Counts head. And of course push it around. Doesn't really teach the kids anything but maybe that kids ride the bus to school.
