i ordered 2 boxes of these and have been super pleased with them. They are tough and work perfect in the can i have, which a lid locks over the trash bag and it doesnt weaken the bags at all when i tie the drawstrings and take it out.
I've been using these trash bags for awhile now and I'm very pleased with their performance. However, that's not why I'm writing a review. I encountered a problem with one box that I purchased and once I contacted SG customer service they 2 day mailed me a replacement. I've never been treated so well by a large company before and so they will have my business forever. Thank you!!
Switched over to these from Glad and Im very happy we did. These are pretty strong bags and Im impressed! Never had a tear or a leak. Been using them for about a month now.

Complete waste of money. Out of 4 boxes purchased every single bag is not sealed at the bottom. Beware if you buy these. Be prepared to mop your floors because anything inside it is going to fall right out onto your floors!!
I've used these bags a few months now since my girlfriend's on this Seventh Generation kick and have to say I hope she never buys these again. The first time I went to empty my garbage can it immediately ripped, causing me to use another of these garbage bags just to get it out the door. That isn't the first time it's happened either. The box may come with 20 bags but a half of them might be spent double bagging the ones filled with garbage that might rip. Just out of curiosity, makes me wonder what the "strong" bags are like if these are "extra strong". With all that being said, if you have an immediate need to fill garbage bags with cotton, they might actually be up to that particular task.
The construction of these bags requires effort to open up the bag from the inside. It is as if the sides of these bags have been sealed shut. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board to redesign the manufacturing of these bags so that these bags open easily so they can easily slip into the recepticle.

I've used these bags for a couple of years and they used to be tolerable - would rip occasionally but overall were usable. But they've changed recently and now are almost useless. The plastic is so fragile that I often poke a hole in it just putting the bag into the can (I don't even know how this happens, other than that the material has zero tolerance for being stretched), and the two sides of the bags are stuck together so firmly when they come out of the box that it's almost impossible to open the bag up. Also, the rim that contains the drawstring tears off regularly when I take the full bag out of the can, and it's not like it's overly full, just to capacity. I find myself having to use two bags for most loads of garbage, and occasionally one tears so badly when I open it up out of the box that I just throw it away. Finally, the last batch I bought has some sort of fragrance added to it that's unpleasant on it's own and disgusting when combined with a little bit of garbage smell. Definitely not what I would expect from a company that's supposed to be environmentally friendly.
