We have 2 big dogs (golden retriever & a black lab/German Shepard/ golden doodle mix) that are pretty much dirt balls and this vacuum renews our hardwood floors in no time! We got it a month before we had our first baby and wowza it makes vacuuming 1. Easy 2. Quick and finally 3. Low key kinda fun. And it has a cool light on it so you can also vacuum in the dark. If you have big doggos and a baby like me who needs a clean house, this is the vacuum for you!
Okay, it does the job. The suction is great; the light on the wand is great but it is darn heavy, there are no two ways about it. Have cobwebs? You'll get a real workout, trust me. Granted, it cleans really well; isn't too loud; well made, except for the ON-OFF switch. The ON-OFF switch is a very poor design, sometimes it works first try, most of the time it takes 3-4 tries to turn it ON or OFF. I bought it to replace my old grey Shark Navigator which was nice and light.
We bought this vacuum the day after Christmas as we put our tree away and our old vacuum wasn't doing the job of picking up the pine needles. We have two Golden retrievers so we do have a lot of hair! But this self-cleaning brush roll isn't self cleaning and it's clogged twice now! I miss my old vacuum :(
I bought this vacuum because it claim to have a "self cleaning" brush roll. I was super excited to not have to cut the hair out of the roll every month. Well I was very disappointed. This vacuum DOSE NOT clean its self. I am still having to cut hair and fibers out of the roller. Its a heavy vacuum as well. I like the lift away option but it get a little clunky.
I was blinded by some of the fancy bells and whistles that I didn't notice how terrible the design is. Living in a small home, I don't usually unwrap the whole cord, only what I need. That way, I don't have to rewind the entire cord when I only needed a few feet. It is physically impossible to use the wand on this vacuum without unwrapping the entire cord, which gets in my way. Also, one of the attachments is in an awkward location, so the cord has to wind around it. There's a release button on top of the attachment which may release when you try to store it because it hits the bottom of the wand. Aside from the poor design, the vacuum works well. It was so expensive I hope it lasts for years, but that also means I'm in for years of frustrating vacuuming
Bought what I thought was a good product. Worked fine for a few months. Plugged it in to do some pre-holiday cleaning. Nothing, when I hit the on / off switch. I checked the trouble shooting web page, nothing regarding my problem. Not a happy customer.
Within 30 days of purchase, the motorized floor roller stopped working (which means the vacuum no longer works as an upright). We called, got a brand new one sent out as a replacement, and the same part has stopped working twice more in six months—had to pay for a repair the first time, taking it to the dump now that it has broken yet again. Very very disappointed, would NOT recommend.
I bought this vacuum several months ago to replace another well known brand vacuum and am very disappointed with the Shark. One reason for purchasing this vacuum was it stated that it was guaranteed not to have hair wrap around the roller. I have two dogs and I vacuum everyday. Every time I vacuum I need to unclog the roller due to it being completely clogged and wrapped with dog hair. I paid a good amount of money for this vacuum and expected it to perform much better than it has. I am very disappointed in this product and will not be purchasing a Shark in the future.
It worked great when I first bought it. I even replaced it because I thought my children did something, but after reading the reviews. I waisted my money twice. The replacement lasted a few months like the other. I will never purchase another shark product. Such a waste of money.
Bought this vacuum with lot of expectations and what it can do. The product worked great and I really like the features and quality of work it does. But with this kind of cost of the product the key component failed within less than a year and the fine print that this component is not covered in warranty. This is not only ridiculous but seems like a ripoff. I would not recommend this product for any one.
