It clean every night at 12am most nights without trouble. I love the fact that we do not have to empty but once a week We have had problems one time battery was to low to vacuum because it did not seat right . My over all option is I love my IQ Robot and it does a great job.
I named my shark IQ Robot vacuum, Merlin. I am reminded of The Sorceress Apprentice that famous Walt Disney feature film, Fantasia. Mickey Mouse animates brooms, buckets and other household items in the attempt to avoid cleaning. Needless to say, I am simply enchanted with Merlin.
I bought the Shark IQ Robot Self-Cleaning Vacuum about a month ago and I don’t know how I survived so long without it. I live in Florida so my Siberian Husky sheds year round. This vacuum handles all of her hair with ease and all I have to do is sit and watch. If I could just teach the Robot to climb stairs it would be PERFECT, I highly recommend this!
I have Rosie set to automatically vacuum every morning at 8:00. I have a corgi and a black lab, both of which shed a dog a day. I am allergic to dust, dander, pollen, and dog hair. I have only had my Shark IQ for about 10 days. After 2 days, I was breathing normally and enjoying hair-free flooring and zero dog odor! I had a iRobot Roomba, and it didn’t thrill me. This IQ is amazing!!!!
I bought this Robot vacuum a month ago. I truly love how well it cleans up dog hair (we have a super shedder Bernese Mountain Dog). We do have to clean out the bin every other day. The vacuum is quiet! The app is amazing. We do have problems with the vacuum going under furniture even with than guards. My biggest disappointment is I already have to order more side brushes. The brush on one side is down to 2 whiskers. NOT COOL for just a month old. Other than that complaint I am so happy with "Bob" our Robot Vacuum. Great suction power.
I bought this to replace a Roomba that I had for about 6 months and wanted something with the self empty base. After several positive reviews I decided on the Shark. The Self Empty works great. Now for the BUT, it will not pick up single leaves brought in by my puppies, the power keeps changing to ECO from med by itself and it still has not mapped my home. But for 1/2 the price of the Roomba I would still buy again.
Bought this as our first robot vacuum. My parents and sister have Roomba models. We decided to try shark due to value and self unloading dust bin. Don't buy one without it, especially if you have shedding dog in the house. Pleased with everything, other than the auto empty doesn't fully empty/remove our husky's hair due to the design. It gets stuck in the dirt tray, so I have to clean it by hand which defeats the purpose of auto empty. Other than that, works great!
I rate this fair because the idea and the performance of the vacuum is great, but there is where everything stops. My experience is less than desirable. The latest update app update screw everything. After 7 week, 75 cleaning, 4 map resets, and one factory reset the robot finally learned my house. The the Shark Clean app updated to 2.3.9, now the map got all mess up. I will need to reset the map to fix the map and restore proper vacuuming around the house. This is unsatisfactory. I'm tired of the poor learning AI the robot has. The app improve the map portion but developers need to ensure updates not alter data and go the distance and provide all the missing capabilities that other robot provide on the AI portion of the house. The issue with IQ robot is mostly software. I have other issues with it, The robot does not really avoid objects it bumps and suntime preces against the objects such as chairs, stools, tables. legs. I will think that the sensor will detect their is an object let me go around it or follow the contour without pushing against it. It has push so hard that it has pain transfers from the floor wood molding to the furniture. 2 out of five times it looses track of where it is, this situation is more obvious when the robot is returning to the dock and is low in battery. Sometime will actually run out of battery and not get to the dock. There was on time that it ran out of battery literary 2 inches from the dock. There has been new robot coming out that use lidar and have IA to detect object and try to avoid them. The only thing that those vacuum robot dont have is the tangles hair brush and the self emptying canister. For 7 weeks I have defended the robot to my wife, but the headaches to help the robot to learn the house and the poor deployment of the software update that screw up the map which basically destroyed 7 weeks of work for the robot to learn the house ids not worse the time and effort. I will be returning this in the next few days, because support is probably going to call me and ask me to try it with the new update. I had resetted the map once more and in the process of getting the house mapped one more time.
I've used the shark at least every other day. We have 3 dogs & all hardwood floors with a few low pile area rugs. The shark dumps globs of hair on the area rugs so I started picking them all up prior to using it. It stops often telling me there's debris or something stuck underneath it, it's dog hair that's collected on the brushes & wheels. I have never been able to program it to auto clean because it won't connect, plus I have to pick up the area rugs anyway. I kept it because overall it does save me the time of actually sweeping the house. It's just not as advanced or user friendly as advertised.
At no point did the ad mention "used" when the ordering process. I am not happy receiving this item with dirt and animal hairs inside the machine and scratch marks. why was this not listed? I wouldn't have bought it...
