Great design and so far, everything we've prepared in the drawer has come out perfect!
When remodeling our previous kitchen we installed a Sharp drawer microwave and loved it. Now about 10 years later we had moved and remodeled this kitchen and had no doubt that we would install the same or similar Sharp microwave drawer.
I received this microwave second hand when my dad's customer was redesigning her kitchen. I knew nothing about this microwave, but I am so thankful to have it! The heating mechanism warms my food up evenly, I love the Keep Warm feature, it kept my fried chicken crispy and hot!

Excellent drawer microwave. Been using it 9 months and works well. My family has the same one and has been great for years.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave to replace the same Sharp microwave we bought nine years ago because we like all the features this microwave has. It is easy to use and we didn't want to learn how to use a different microwave. In addition, we like the control panel and weren't fond of the control panels that flip out. We like how it compliments our kitchen by being a drawer that is easy to use. We would recommend this microwave to anyone who can put in a drawer microwave in a kitchen or bar.
This came with a new house. I do not like under the counter microwaves. It is a stronger microwave heating things quickly. It doesn't have a turntable so it doesn't cook evenly.
Item works well, but is less powerful than prior Sharp model I wishes to replace. It takes longer to heat
Bought this model to replace a similar SHARP microwave drawer. In fact, it is identical except for the cheap-looking matte-finish aluminum handle. The appliance finish is described as stainless, which it is, but no mention of aluminum handle. Maybe a step up from the previous faux-stainless plastic handle but it doesn't match. Fortunately, the microwave is on the backside of the island, so no one sees it but us. By the way, however, the previous one started making a melted plastic burn smell after 15 years. The installer told us they have a 7-10 year lifespan. Might have been able to save a lot by replacing the magnetron but chose not to take the chance.
I installed this unit in my new home December 2017. Have had to replace door switches and magnetron. Most recently the wave guide caught fire and could have easily burnt down my home. Lucky I was close to the unit and was able to intervene. I came to find out that is is an ongoing issue with sharp and that there is a class action settlement concerning the wave guide arcing. Unfortunately, Sharp has decided to only replace the units with this obvious latent defect within 5 years of purchase. Would definitely steer clear of this manufacturer.
