Replaced a 10 year old Wolf microwave. Exact same size, no modification to fit. Features have improved, easier to use.
Updated version of my 1998 Sharp Carousel. Door is a little flimsier
This was a replacement for an earlier one that I had purchased 10 years ag and that was still running. I donated the older one to a charity. I would recommend this unit to anybody looking for and additional oven and Microwave combination.

This is a replacement for my previous Sharp Carousel convection microwave, which lasted 9 years. I was disappointed when it died, but it gave me an excuse to get one that matches my other kitchen appliances! The microwave functions work great and the sensor reheat seems faster than on my previous models, despite them being basically the same. So far, it's a worthy successor.
Our family needed another oven in the kitchen. The SHARP 1.5 cu. ft., countertop was the perfect size and elegant addition to our kitchen cabinetry.
My 14 yr old Viking convection microwave gave out three weeks ago. I first tried to fix it but the cost was getting to much for an old microwave so I looked for a new one. Well the replacement was $1540.00 plus tax so I kept looking. Since the guts of the Viking is all Sharp, I searched for a similar size and found this microwave to be almost identical in every way except it was almost $1000 less! The built in trim fit perfectly along with the duct work for the convection. I ordered from Walmart for $80 less than Bestbuy, it showed up a day earlier than promised and is already installed. FedEx was kind enough to not beat the daylights out of it as well so overall, I'm extremely happy with Sharp, FedEx and Walmart on this purchase. p.s. I put the Viking badge on my new Sharp and my wife didnt notice. Before and after pictures, you cant tell the difference!
A well built unit, easy to use. Do wish the door opened by the handle like my 1983 year model did. Have noticed electrical odor when first using the microwave portion but seems to be abating as time and usage go by. May be related to similar odor on first convection uses as protective coating on heating element has to burn off.
This is the first and last time I buy something from Walmart. Microwave arrived damaged in broken box. Even disregarding the exterior damage on the back and sides, the door doesn't close flush with the button panel! If I press it slightly, it won't pop open! The worst part is, they knowingly sent this defective unit banking that I don't have the means to box and carry this monstrous POS to a UPS store. Stay away from seller "buildcom".
