I like this alarm clock. It's very simple and easy to set up. I like that the screen is big and I can see it clear without my glasses. I don't exactly use it to wake up as I don't need it for that. I just like to know the time without having to check my phone. Nothing fancy just you average alarm clock.
This alarm clock has a huge display with the digits themselves being 2" tall. This makes it great for somebody whose vision isn't great or who might be looking from the other side of the bed. It has 3 brightness settings which are changed by pressing the snooze button. I love having some control over the brightness of the display because somebody I know is very sensitive to that. I tried to capture the hi/lo brightness settings in photos but they ended up looking the same. It also has 2 volumes for the alarm (button toggles between hi/lo/off) The buttons are very intuitive to use as far as setting the time and alarm time (except for the hour button being to the right of the minutes button) Note that this clock does NOT swivel even though that was mentioned in the description. All in all, it's a great alarm clock!
I needed a good alarm clock because I'm hard waking up. To start with this clock is perfect size and very easy to set. I didn't even have to look at the instructions because it's just that simple. The time is very easy to see because the size. The alarm is very easy to set, turn on/off and snooze. It also has a setting for the alarm to be louder by just clicking the alarm button. It took me a few minutes to hear the alarm so it's decently loud. Overall it's a great alarm clock.
If your boss knew you had this alarm clock at home there will be no acceptable reason for your tardiness. The display is jumbo as described and the alarm is loud. You can tell the time from space, kidding. I wanted this so I can easily time my baby's night time feeding and I don't have to squint my sleepy eyes to make out the time. Although bright, the display is not distracting when the lights are turned off. I've used the alarm a few times and it is loud enough to wake my next door neighbour. The buttons on there were self explanatory, the manual was not needed but is included. Great clock for heavy sleepers.
If you are looking for a simple effect and easy to use alarm clock then this is definitely the one. It is so simple and easy to set that anyone could do it. The Sharp Digital Swivel Alarm Clock is lightweight and it doesn't take up hardly any room at all on my nightstand. I love that the numbers are very large and very bright blue. If you wake up in the middle of the night, you don't have to search for the time. You can't miss it wherever it's sitting. The clock can be plugged into an outlet or can also be used with 2-AA batteries. It specified by am or pm with a red light so you will definitely know for alarm setting. The alarm is working spot on your time and will definitely wake you because it is loud. What I like most is the jumbo bright display. It has a snooze for a few extra minutes of deep sleep and will make sure that you are alerted again. Although it doesn't have a radio it is the perfect alarm clock and that is exactly what it's supposed to be!
This SHARP Digital Swivel Alarm Clock comes with a short instruction. The clock can work only by plugging in the power cord into an outlet. The power cord is about 1 meter long. It is not portable. Two AA batteries required for a back up feature, they are not included. This alarm clock is pretty well-made and old fashioned. It has an alarm function. The screen is big enough and can be seen from a distance.
Well! I have a love/not love thing going on with this clock. I love/don't love the bright, big display! I don't love it because when I am trying to sleep, I cover it with a wash cloth! It's so bright, even on the lower brightness setting. But I do love it because- if you, like me, wear glasses, this is a great clock because the numbers are big enough for me to see without them. Also, the alarm- it's ok, I wouldn't say it's super loud though. It does have a choice between 'regular' and 'loud'- the loud seems pretty standard to me. I don't love the buttons on the alarm- because when it's morning, and you want to 'snooze' or turn it off, unless you can remember the alarm button is in the middle of the row of buttons, when you're groggy from sleep it's hard to know which button to push. You'd think they'd make a big one on top or something but no, not this model. There is a big 'snooze' button in front, but you can't turn it off. So that's why I don't love the buttons. But, I DO love the buttons because when you're setting the time or the alarm, it's very easy to do. I love that it's easy! And the blue light is so pretty- but it will light up the room! Might actually make a nice 'night light' for a kid or teen room... So I will say there are a few things I don't like about it, but all in all, I do like it and I'm glad to have it, and do enjoy the bright display and big numbers.
My favorite thing about this clock is the numbers are blue. I do think you can also find this with red and green numbers. I like blue the best. I love the jumbo size. I can see the numbers on the clock across the room without squinting and can see it at night. I really like that. The name says the clock is a swivel clock. My clock does not swivel. It is flat on the bottom and does not turn unless you turn the clock around. I don't usually move it. It sits in the same place all the time. I don't really notice the alarm being super loud. It is loud enough to wake me up. The clock has a low hum all the time. This can be a bit annoying. I would recommend a clock with jumbo numbers any day over a clock with the small tiny numbers.
This SHARP Digital Swivel Alarm Clock - Jumbo Blue Display is a nice digital clock with a great huge display in blue. It’s visible to those that can’t normally read a regular sized display. I don’t have to put on my glasses to see the time. The clock has all the standard features of an alarm clock, snooze included. The reason I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars, is because the alarm isn’t very loud. It has a high and low setting for the alarm volume. On the low setting, my aunt, who has only partial hearing in one ear, and full hearing in the other, wasn’t able to hear it at all, until she held it close to her. On the loud setting, she could hear it, but she said it wasn’t what she would consider loud. I have great hearing. I heard both the low and the high volume alarms, but I agree that the high volume wasn’t what I would consider loud. The clock doesn’t have a very large footprint, and it’s adjustable via swivel.
The pros on this alarm clock are the super loud alarm, which will wake the heaviest sleeper, but probably everyone else in your house and condo neighbors too. The clock and alarm are easy to set and the numbers are nice and big for reading without glasses. The con is the brightness of the display even when dimmed. If you like a dark sleeping environment, it's not for you.
