The Sharp Digital Alarm Clock has many features for such a small compact alarm clock. It runs on two AAA batteries (not included). So your can take it anywhere, which makes it perfect for travel. This clock also has an ascending alarm It starts out as a single beep alarm, then two beeps, three beeps, then rapid succession beeps. The Sharp Digital alarm clock also has a brightly lit backlight at the touch of the snooze button which will last for 5 seconds. The backlight also comes on for 5 seconds when the alarm sounds. The snooze alarm is 5 minutes which gives you the time you need to sit up and shut off the alarm. The Sharp Digital Alarm Clock is perfect for travel. It is compact and has a large easy to read back-lit digtital display that lasts for 5 seconds when pressing the snooze alarm button making it easy to read at night. I already have an older model similar travel clock that I keep on the bathroom counter because there is no nearby outlet. I wanted the upgraded new model with the larger back-lit display. I have taken my lilttle clock camping and also used it during hotel stays. It is a great little clock that can go anywhere, especially where there isn't any electricity. This clock is also great to have during power outages.
Great little alarm clock. Simple design. Clock with alarm-only feature works superb. Easy to set, no worries about mix up since there's no radio. One of the best features of this alarm clock. Light only stays on for a few seconds after pushing snooze or off. There's no annoying bright light in room at night. Sharp backlit blue display with black numbers. Takes two AA batteries. Portable, and reliable.
I received this item from the Spark Reviewer and was asked to provide an unbiased review. The Sharp LCD Digital Alarm Clock is a simple, easy-to-use alarm clock. This would work well as a travel alarm clock due to its small size and it is powered by two AA batteries. The clock is approximately 4” wide, 3” deep and 2” tall…the weight is very light. The alarm features an ascending volume alert, this is a “beeping” alarm only. Yes, it is annoying enough to wake you. The clock features a Snooze button to allow a few minutes to pass before the beeping returns. The Snooze button is also the Light button…the backlight to read the display is only on when the Light button is pressed. The time is always displayed on the clock..however, the Light button must be pressed to read the clock in low-light conditions. The clock has four buttons(Time, Alarm, Hour, Minute) on top to set the time and alarm….and an Alarm slide control that is set to On or Off. This is a simple, inexpensive, no frills alarm clock. I actually have this clock in my kid’s bathroom to allow them to keep track of time…it is small and convenient. Overall, I would recommend the Sharp LCD Alarm Clock to anyone seeking a simple, inexpensive and convenient/small clock.
This is a cool little clock. It's a very straight forward clock that does what its meant to do and nothing else. That A-OK in my book. I don't like a hundred features on my alarm clock when all I need are the basics. It's not going to take up much room on your nightstand and the numbers are big and easy to read. It's also great for travel. Press the light button and, for a short period, you can see the time in the dark. Something to point out that might make a difference is that the light is blue and some people might find that to be too harsh or disruptive on their eyes.
I should have read the item description, as I was expecting an average-sized alarm clock. This one is palm-sized, an unintentional yet adorable surprise! It's easy to use, but the alarm is too quiet to wake me up.
I like that the alarm clock is little, light weight, and is battery powered. However, you have to push the light button to see time at night, which is really inconvenient. The alarm itself does work, but the volume is extremely low. It would work for a light sleeper, but doubt it would wake up someone in a deep sleep.
For me, this alarm clock was just too low to hear the alarm. If you miss it, it won't go off again unless you hit "snooze." It is nicely compact in size so I thought I could use it for travel, but I need a louder alarm sound. It does not illuminate unless you press the "snooze/light" button. It is limited for me. If you are a light sleeper than perhaps you would prefer a lower sound to wake you up. It does keep the correct time and you can read it in the daylight.
I am not impressed with this little alarm clock. First, the alarm does not ring. You have to push a button on the top to have a light to see the time because the dial is too dark. Too far to reach my bedside table. I read the instructions 3 tmes to find out a way to make the alarm sound. Just push button to left. No sound after 5 tries. Good for a travel alarm if the alarm worked. Would not waste my money.
Alarm is very low sounds not worth buy it great if u have small space . When alarm goes off real low sound
I was impressed with the packaging of this product, being a size easy to steal the box needed to be fully disassembled and a set screw removed to get clock from packaging. The clock itself was easy to set but I had to set the alarm 3 times before I actually heard it ring because it was so quiet. There was no instruction of adjusting volume but there is a wheel on the bottom I thought might do it. I turned it 10 x to the left with no volume change, then 20x to the right and still couldn't make it louder. This clock claims to have an ascending ring but it did not ascend in volume. It went from one beep, to two beeps to three beeps, all barely audible. This may be a cute little design with conscientious packaging and a dependable clock but it completely fails as an alarm clock.
