I really love that I can see the time without glasses. It's a great clock and I'm happy with my purchase.
I have used a bedside alarm clock for years and I still prefer a basic clock that is easy to use and doesn’t require a lot of technology. This Sharp alarm clock meets my needs perfectly. It is easy to set up and has a large green digital display that I can read even without putting my glasses on during the night. It has a very loud alarm and a snooze button, which I really appreciate because sometimes I just need that extra minute or two. I like that this clock has a battery backup option in case the power goes off. Another nice feature is the swivel base. I can turn it in the direction I need. If you are like me and just need a basic alarm that is simple to operate and has a loud alarm, then I would recommend this Sharp Digital Alarm Clock.
I love that the clock display is big (so I don't need my glasses to see the time!) and the alarm I will be testing out in two days when I'll need it to get up real early in the morning to get my fur baby to her scheduled eye surgery… Will try to edit this review if I'm completely satisfied the alarm does wake me up much than my iPhone clock alarm does.
I'm loving my new Sharp LED digital alarm clock. I got it for my night stand. Im 70, so appreciate the big numbers. The brightness can be adjusted. Also love how user friendly it is. I didn't have to read a 20 page instruction manual, in three languages in print so small I needed a magnifying glass. Right out of the box it was very clear how it works. To set it you just hold down the "time" button while pressing the "hour" button..same to set the minutes. The alarm doesn't wake the dead but will definitely wake you up. Love that the clock part rotates on the base. The unit is six inches wide and four inches high. Perfect size for a night stand, but also very easy to read from across your living room. A great little all around clock for a great price! I plan to buy a second one for the guest room. I set it up in the living room first, so I could watch it for a few days, comparing time with what my computer says. Minute for minute it kept perfect time. Also, it's super cute, looks like a mini tv. Will compliment any decor. Very happy with this purchase. (The digital display on mine is pink.)
Though I don't use an alarm clock everyday, I do use one for rare days I need to catch an early flight or if I have an early meeting or appointment. The sound will definitely wake you up and is superior to my cellphone alarm that I don't always hear. Other than that I just use it as a clock. There is a dimmer switch in the back so the time can brighter or less so. And there is variance in the sound of the alarm. I like the sleek design as well.
This alarm clock has a very nice and large digital display. It's very easy to see the time across the room. I like that they color is a green instead of a red. There's a battery backup if you so desire, but I just plug mine in. The back features all of your regular controls: minute, hour, alarm volume, dimmer light, alarm and sound. It works well, it's made well and I would definitely recommend!
Okay, so the style is not everyone's cup-of-tea, but I love the retro style and the really large, green display. In fact, I think it looks slick, in silver, with the swivel feature, and the green large-print and thin font. The light is also not jarring, which helps to wake up with less startle, and the big display means I don't have to squint to see my phone in the morning. There is also a nice big snooze button on top that is impossible to miss, and one of the reasons I love this. I used to have the habit of using my cell phone for an alarm, which is both way too bright when I get up, requires me to squint, and often ends with me accidentally turning the alarm off rather than snoozing it. This instead is subtle, and easy to set and use. I also can plug it in, and not worry about my phone dying and failing to wake me up. Great for both someone like me (relatively young) but I think my mom would love it too, given the big display and ease of use.

Tall LED numbers easy to see but does not "glare" at night. Base swivels with snooze bar on top.
I got this alarm clock to replace a really old one I had in our bedroom, that stopped keeping up with the time correctly. I wanted something small, but had a big display (b/c I'm getting older and my eyes just aren't what they use to be). This alarm clock fit the bill perfectly. I really love that it has a dimmer on the display so it's not overly bright at night when you are trying to sleep. I also really love the battery backup feature in case the power goes out, so I don't accidently oversleep. Setting the time and alarm was super easy with easy to understand set buttons. This is a great affordable alarm clock for any one's needs.
My husband has had numerous eye surgeries this year--so he is very pleased with the large number display! But you should know that those large numbers put off quite a bit of light! There is a dimmer feature on the back, though, so that can be adjusted. My only other criticism is that the off button is very small and somewhat hard to find when you're half-asleep. Now--the snooze button is easy to locate, so I generally hit that first, and that buys me time to find the off button. I like the overall look. The buzz is as obnoxious as any alarm clock. I'd recommend this one, especially to your near-sighted loved ones.
