Unexpectedly great!

Granted, if you are a fan of Connick's more well known big band style and flair and are not aware of his overall musical genious, you may be surprised or even a little turned off by this recording. This is not the swing or jazz offering you might expect. "She" is rather a foray into a more raucous sound that grooves with great energy and unique vibes unlike Connick's previous music. The jazz background is still felt and there are outstanding instrumental leads that support the strong lyrical content of the album. I have enjoyed all of Connick's works, but when I want to listen to something fun with high impact energy, I put on "She"! Give it a serious listen, then listen to it again. You'll find yourself pleasantly surprised.
