Ordered this with a grocery pickup so i didn't get to pick it myself but it was a lil wilted but still pretty full and smelled amazing. You can't beat the price, even if it's wilted or doesn't last extremely long you get handfuls off basil for $3 compare it to the $2 clamshell that gives you maybe 10. If you take care of it, it will last. If you don't have a green thumb like myself is still worth it however long it lasts.
Excellent! they just needed a little TLC. i got 2 of these, and planted them in 1-gallon pots. they looked a little sad at first, but i mixed my compost soil with Expert potting soil, and placed in a sunny part of my front yard and watered daily, and now they look amazing! i'm thinking i may have gotten them too early in the year, tho-February, and i fear the cold spells may have stunted their growth some. i'm going to get 1 more and plant in my 5-gallon bag that i have that's empty. i also got 2 grape tomato plants from Walmart online, and 2 rosemary plants. and 1 mint plant. they all were a little sad at first-but with a little TLC they perked up and are doing beautifully! i'm hoping the basil flourishes more-so in the 5-gallon pot, and now that it's March, maybe it'll be better for it. i'm hoping the price stays below $3, tho. as we are on a very limited budget (like most people), and everything has gone up from food, to gas, to electric. it shouldn't cost almost $100 to get a very small garden going in the spring. i'm hoping that next spring will cost me less, bc i'll be able to use the tomato stakes again and the 5-gallon pots. but still having to buy multiple plants and multiple bags of potting soil is costly, especially bc hoses and spray nozzles break. PLEASE let us keep our sanity by not overcharging on the gardening supplies-at least let the cost of the plants stay reasonable. i'm praying i don't have to spend more than $35-40 next year. as our student loans and car loans are already through the roof, and i am disabled but cannot get disability, and i have a child to raise and feed. Having a small garden every spring is one of the only things that keeps me sane, as i have generalized PTSD, severe anxiety, and adult ADHD, but do not take any meds for them anymore. So i'm praying the costs stay low. All in all, i'm happy with my plants. See attached photos of plants. These 5-gallon bag-containers work excellent (from amazon). Everything else is from Walmart online.
i used the some leaves when I first purchased the plant then I tried to replant the basil in a pot with new soil. At first it was outside but noticed little grow now it is inside and near dead. Weekly warering and sunlight mid morning to mid afternoon.
This is the saddest almost dead basil plant I've ever seen, and I can't believe they actually tried to give this to me. I'll be going back to the store immediately.
This is the second time that I ordered this because the first one was delivered to me dried out and only one leaf was alive. I could not get it to survive. I though I would try again and I got another dried out plant that was barley holding on. I will hope that this one can live!
Plant was next to dead. Had about 5 usable basil leaves. Had to go to another grocery store to buy more basil.
This was a substitution for a package of fresh basil. I would have been okay with the plant if it looked like the one in the picture!! The one I got is half dead!! It's absolutely unacceptable!! If you are going to substitute for something I need, please don't give me one that has only 2-4 useable leaves. So upset and we do curbside pick-up, so I have to go to the store and return it now!! I am handicapped and it's a real imposition for me!!
Walmart delivers products in a state of decomposition to the consumer's home so they can dispose of it in their household trash. Saving supermarket waste. I'm seriously considering moving to another supermarket. Every online purchase is a big headache.
Poor thing! It was Delivered and came with Black Spot Disease! When I wanted a refund… was informed I had to drive all the way to Walmart to return a dying plant! My car battery is dead and my senior Mom just got out of the hospital and is bedridden and I can't leave her and have no one to watch her! So I'm stuck with a diseased plant and out the money as well! Very good business Walmart! This Consumer won't be in a hurry to sign up for your Membership any time soon! God Bless the poor little basil plant! Someone needs to contact the grower / supplier and terminate their contract!
Basil plant had many wilted leaves, spots and unhealthy. I would have rather been substituted healthy fresh basil from fresh herbs isle instead of this.
