This armoire looks like a quality piece of furniture. We love it because it fits in a smaller space than most armoires, and the height was perfect. The deep, sturdy, adjustable shelves are a real plus.
Our teenage daughter's room is very small and we are on a tight budget, so we were looking for inexpensive furniture with plenty of storage space, without the furniture looking too juvenile. We bought the Sauder Shoal Creek Soft White armoire, four drawer chest, mates bed, and bookcase headboard. We are pleased with all of this furniture. It is a very good value. Granted it's not high-grade fine furniture; but for the price we paid, it is great! The armoire has plenty of storage space and was not too difficult to assemble. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase.
Went together beautifully until I got to the doors. ****Advice: DO NOT ADD THE BACKING, you'll need to get in from the back and adjust the doors from behind to see how they properly adjust **They went on, but were cockeyed and wouldn't allow the drawer to open or close. My husband completely gave up and wanted me to send it back BUT. I just spent an hour figuring out the adjustable hinges. It was extremely wobbly. I retightened everything as much as I could and then went back and worked on the hinges again. After an hour it was fine. I realized if I use the bracket and attached it to the wall then the drawers and doors will sit up, open/close perfectly. It's beautiful and perfect kid sized. It comes with shelves but I installed 2 tension rods inside with rod brackets so they would stay in permanently. Which is perfect for the use of storage for little girl dresses and jackets!
The armoire is beautiful, but set up was somewhat time consuming. It came with a lot of pieces to sort through. Doors don't fit together quite right, other than that it was good for what I paid.

Out of the bedroom set, this piece was the biggest disappointment. It was the last piece we put together & it was the only piece with visible defects. Too much work to pack back up & carry into the store. It was easy enough to put together but again we had issues with the doors lining up right & them rubbing against the bottom drawer. A lot of tweaking needed with the adjustments. Also had some trouble getting the sheves in - rubbing against the sides almost as if it was out of alignment.
My 16 year old daughter was able to put this together but it is extremely difficult to get the adjustments on the door right so that they shut properly. The drawer does not fit together at all and we still don't have it working
Doors do not close correctly so you cannot open the drawer. Is rather flimsy and not of the quality I have become accustomed to. I bought a dresser 2 years ago that was Sauder and it was perfect.
We were very excited to find what we hoped was the perfect piece of storage furniture for a spare room. When we got it home and started to assemble it, we began noticing that some of the edges seemed like the finish was either missing or peeling away. Once we finally got it assembled, realized that this was not a piece of furniture that we wanted in our home. The best part was when we took it apart and took it back to the store for a refund. We have purchase a couple of furniture items from IKEA and have been very pleased with the product in term of both quality and durability. This piece doesn't even come close. A total waste of gas to and from the store and time spent putting it together and taking it apart. The style of the armoire was great. It would have fit right in with what we wanted but unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be.
Doors did not line up after trying for 2 hours. Drawer would not open and close. Paint missing on some pieces. Ugly hardware. Board crumbled when inserting screws. Had to stuff back in the box and return at store. Horrible.
