These are perfect if you are a working person who is in and out of a vehicle or someone who works with their hands all day. Hands free. Clearest sound. Whether talking on the phone or listening to a podcast, you will never want anything else once you have tried Shokz!
Everything I want in a headphone device. I can hear so clearly. The people on the other end can hear me so clearly as well. I can listen to my music and books but still hear what is going on around me. They are incredibly comfortable I completely forget I have them on. It's mind blowing they are mind blowing I love them so much. I absolutely recommend these to everyone but for CDL drivers like myself I recommend them the most. Once I put them on I never have to worry about them again. They don't fall out!!! I love that so much. This is my second set. I upgraded, my mute feature on the mouth piece is so useful!!
I am a mechanic by trade and wear these everyday, I can have one ear plugged and the other open to listen to my surroundings. When I'm on the phone, the mic cuts out the the rest of the noise in the shop, i.e. impact wrenches, air hammers, and is super clear. I've asked people, when I'm on the phone, if they can hear any of the background noise and they said they can, but barely and it's muffled but are able to still hear me clearly and able to carry on a conversation without interruption. The clarity in the headphones are impressive. Very comfortable to wear and easy to clean at the end of the day. Thank you for making these headphones, they are awesome!!!!!!!!
Comfort - Definitely worth it! Controls: Easy to use! Covers basic needs to answer calls or adjust volume. The device only has 2 hardwired settings to change sound quality. Talk Sound quality - Excellent, provided there's not a lot of noise around you so you can hear the other person. Music listening - The OpenComm2 sound quality is not versatile enough to get the highs and lows for seriously listening to music while on the go. Tones are muted that give a muffled sound when listening. Software/Firmware: I am disappointed that there's not any applications to tweak the sound quality or check for firmware updates. And that is disappointing. As a professional IT and field tech, a device that can't be upgraded in this day and age is setting itself up for eventual failure.or difficulty to use as technologies change.
Very good quality, super comfortable and lightweight. I easily forget I'm wearing them. I just got a second one so my wife and I each have one now. The noise canceling mic is very good. I think my biggest complaint is volume! Guys you need to make more volume! I know in an office setting they would have plenty of volume but when I'm working around machinery or even driving a truck that isn't real quiet in the cab the volume gets maxed out quickly. Being bone conduction you can wear ear plugs and then you can hear quite well even in very loud environments but it's not ideal to have to wear earplugs to drive a slightly noisy truck. If you saw my previous review about battery life being a little short... I take that back, it must have not been fully charged because I have since used it for much longer periods of time (listened to podcasts most of the day) and the battery didn't die. Overall I do love this headset, I've tried quite a few and this is the best one yet
The sound quality is better, also the wire the goes behind the head feels a bit smaller which makes it better while driving because when you put your head back on the seat it doesn't push it forward. Which it makes it move out of place. In my personal opinion it could be a bit shorter that way if feels more tighter. The long battery helps alot since I'm a truck driver and some times I don't have the time to charge it. I do appreciate the fastest charging that it has. If you guys could make the sound a bit louder it would be awesome I do know several truck drivers that love shokz like my self but I believe you guys will continue to improve the headset.
I have tried other high end brands, knock off brands, and probably everything in between. These muffle background noise so well my clients do not realize that I am using a headset. It blocks the sound of kids and pets and neighborhood goings-on. Shokz for the win!
Our family has owned various versions of Shokz earphones for several years. I am continually impressed by the improvements made each year. These Open Comm 2 are the latest and greatest version, in my opinion.
I wish that the volume went up louder when on a phone call, double the volume. I would also like a smaller size, I do not like the extra hang over on the back side of my head, I would like it to fit my head but there is like a 1"+ gap so when you attempt to lean your head back in a chair it adjust the headset to be uncomfortable and move off of the rest points in front of my ears. I have bought 2 headsets - one with mic on the left and now one on the right. They are an awesome tool for keeping my hands free for working or other activities.
Ear buds never fit, so I'd kept an old wired headset and I finally got tired of it. Someone suggested these so I wanted to check it out. I got zero response from the company when I asked some pre-sales questions, but since the couple liked theirs, I decided to try it anyone. Unlike them, I got the one with the boom mic, as I'll only be using it to talk, both at home and on the road. The sound is fine, both speakers and mic, and it's kind of funny that it tickles when someone talks, as the headset vibrates for the induction. It works as expected and I no longer have to constantly untangle the wire. Nothing special, but it does the job I need. The only thing I'll really complain about is the button to answer and hang up. Multiple times, I've hung up a call when grabbing the headset when a call comes in. I'm learning, though, so it only happened in the beginning. Better placement would improve that.
