Pump & accessories aren't worth it!

First let me say I don't normally write negative reviews as my expectations are abnormally high (or so my wife says). Anyway this Shop Vac has earned this, my first negative review. First, I wish someone had told me that there is no way to control the pump. In order for the pump to engage you must first fill the vacuum with a minimum of 4 inches of water. So if you are like me and expecting the pump to have a separate switch or something, it doesn't, AND you MUST have a lot of water to suck up before it pumps any water out. Also: I wish someone had told me that if you're used to 6.5 horse power that 5 or 5.5 horsepower is a SUBSTANTIAL DOWNGRADE. This Shop Vac Model is so underpowered it's frustrating. Lastly, after a minute or two of vacuuming (wet or dry) it makes this annoying whining noise unlike any shop vac I've ever heard... and by the way even with a teflon coated Clean Stream filter in place it barely picks up dirt from any surface. SO Frustrating to have to go over and over and over a spot only to finally pick up the dirt by hand! Honestly, it's that bad! Okay now if you have decided to risk buying it anyway, here is the good stuff about the vacuum. It comes stock with every single important accessory. The CLEAN Stream filter is INCLUDED!! AMAZING! The filter bag, wands, floor accessories, floor brush accessory all INCLUDED (also unlike most wet/dry vacuums I've bought in the past) Anyway, I hated owning it for the 3 months it took for me to throw it all in the trash. I hope that getting accessory items included with your Shop Vac doesn't entice you buy this model. Stick with something that has 6.5 HP because believe me the pump and accessories aren't worth the downgrade in suction.
