I have recently purchased several of these in different lengths and plan to buy more. I manage the AV systems at our church. I use these mics for individual speakers/presenters and individual singers. Clear sound, good sensitivity, easy to mount and use, the goose neck mechanisms are stable and quiet. We use cardioid patterns for all our needs. Our experience is that these are great and affordable professional microphones. They are light weight and unobtrusive. They do their job and stay out of our way.
Bought this for use for an auditorium and the sound quality is awesome!
We have 4 of the CVG12 goose neck microphones, and we use them in our teaching center. When it is a single lectern setup, desk with smaller side lectern, and when it is a 4 desk panel-type setup. The sound is full without being boomy, and very nice clarity. We have tried other goose neck mics from equally great brands (and in the $500 - $800 range), but for our teaching center, this mic hits the sweet spot. It needs only minor EQ adjustments from presenter-to-presenter, and unlike the others, we did not have to work hard to make it sound great right out of the box.
