As a Race Announcer, in a variety of setting, a dependable wireless system is essential. My QLX-D 58 (and Beta 58 capsule) has proven itself over and over. We've had 450 feet line-of-sight coverage of excellent sound, using the basic half wave antennae. Even more with the paddles. Also, the Beta 58 gives my voice a nice lift around 5K.
I've been using 5 of these (3 SM58s and 2 belt packs) for about 7 or 8 years now. They've been rock solid, never cutting or dropping audio. They are as reliable as a wired mic. Not much else to say, they just work. I tried updating the firmware so I could check the battery level from my phone as I bought these before that app was available. It worked fine for a 58 and a belt pack, but the update caused the second belt pack to stop working. Called support, they said it was dead. Said that happens sometimes. I didn't bother updating the others. Wish I could give this 5 stars, but updating firmware shouldn't be a gamble.
