I use it to assist a person in a motorized scooter go in and out of the house. It's lightweight feature makes it very easy to handle and it's very safe in preventing the scooter easy from tipping over. The person I use it for has little depth persception. Easy for training a person on proper use. I purchased the 1 -1/2 inches too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My new home has a 7" sunken living room and a 6" step into the house from the garage. I bought two of 5" ramps to use with my rollator and they are wonderful. Sturdy, non-slip, not too ugly for indoor use :). Lightweight if they need to be moved. Everything I was looking for.
Perfect fit for my French door. I only put it down when I need it and it works great.
I used this ramp to help my arthritic dog get outside to the deck. The step out is 8" and this ramp works perfectly.
I need to figure out a way to keep it from sliding away from the threshold or side to side. It seems to work fine and so far my wheelchair has not slipped on it even when it is wet. But it's one half inch above the brick so that creates a gap (of 4" X 1/2") between the threshold and the ramp. I wish I had looked around for a ramp that fit exactly (up to 3 1/2" instead of 4").
We recently put in a concrete pad and installed a shed and then we realized we had a 6" rise. I started looking online and found the perfect 6" rise silver spring foam threshold ramp and it looks great and works great for wheeling up tools into the shed.
I purchased these for my older sister who is in a wheelchair. She visits us often and before it was a problem getting her into the house. The ramps fits perfectly and it's now easy to move her wheelchair. They are very strong and very light weight but they are super sturdy. So glad I found them. Thanks.

I have neuropathy, where I can't feel my feet. This ramp helps getting in and out of the house. At 7lb its easy to move and adjust. Great product.
I am an BKA amputee an the ramp allowed me to get into the garage directly from the house without going outside. Installed it from my wheelchair without any help. Much better than metal ramps which have to rest on the threshold and fit into the door opening. Glad I bought it.
