Exactly what I wanted. It's the smallest one I could find to fit on the nightstand and works well. Uses standard bulb which is also a plus as I had to get a new one when I couldn't find a specialized replacement bulb for my old lamp.
This lamp is so perfect for all our needs. I had originally purchased one to place next to my sewing machine, and now have purchased a second one for my husband's desk. It is perfect in size and design. Having the power switch on the base is very convenient. Most important, the lamp does not overheat like other gooseneck lamps. I love this lamp. Thanks Walmart.
Solid little desk lamp, small and compact. Liked the metal frame and simple design, fairly sturdy. Only complaint is that I thought the gooseneck could be fully manipulated/adjusted; the bottom half is static with the flexible part closer to the actual lamp.
So pleased with this good quality affordable and sensible desk lap. I couldn't believe how difficult it has been to find one that isn't complete garbage. This one is made of metal, and appears to be well constructed. It is compact but not wimpy in size, and weighty such that it won't tip over. The gooseneck is also thick and seems sturdy, very flexible for adjusting however you like. The lampshade is thick metal to protect the bulb and the bulb doesn't stick out past the edge of the lampshade. It takes a standard bulb base, I am using an LED bulb to benefit from the energy savings, and that works great. The on-off switch is simple and seems sturdy, located on the base, just push to switch, not one of those twist types positioned at the top of the lampshade that are kinda irritating to use. The plug is also sturdy and a sensibly useful length. Interior of the lampshade is also white, so you get plenty of light, and the light pool spread is very good. For all that, you get a bargain price.
Like this little lamp! Bought it to subsidize my overhead light. It accompolished that without tip overs like other lamps do. This has a solid base and pinpoint directions with the flexable neck for a closer look at what you’re working on. Good price too!
I got this desk/laptop computer lamp to fit on an antique desk. Looks good and a great value. Likes: size, off/on light switch, quality and function. Dislike: 60 Watt bulb- too hot and too much luminous light. I changed the bulb to 40 watt and that is somewhat better. Comparison to other lamps for value, this is ahead of the class.
I purchased two of the white ones and they are really nice lamps. Affordable yet very good quality. I will more than likely purchase more in the future!
This is just what I was looking for: small, simple, basic desk lamp for my small desk in a small space. It does the job. The folding desk and desk accessories organizer is also from Walmart.com
Its too short! Sturdy but short. It has a 9" neck, I bought it to sit on a smaller table that my laptop sits on, but the lamp only illuminates half the keyboard. Even raising and moving the shade dosen't help, there is a glare then. If the lamp were taller it would sit higher and illuminate both sides equally.
Ok..i was not happy how lamp arrived. Box was torn %26 smashed in on the sides. Then took very long to get to my home. Nothing warns you it doesn't come with a bulb or what wattage to use. Dont go over 40watts! Lamp does work but much smaller than i thought it would be. So this was alittle pricey.
