This helps me keep the recyclables where they belong and not in a separate bag or container in the kitchen. It replaced the same one from Simple Human that I had for almost 10 years except the trash side was larger. Durable and modern.
This is the best trashcan ever. I really enjoy the soft close lid and that it keeps my countertops free of recyclables. The only thing is you need to empty it more often than you would with a bigger trashcan but I think that's a good trade! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We are using it for recycling and the different sized bins are handy, using the bigger one for aluminum and plastic and the smaller one for glass containers which we don't use nearly as much
Well made. However I switched my recycle and trash sides. The trash side was awfully small. Maybe it's to encourage you to have less trash? But I love how sleek it feels in my small kitchen.
Overall, it is a nice trash can. Cleans easy, doesn't get finger smudges. The major draw back is the need to use special brand trash bags. If you try to use regular trash bags, even ones with the correct volume, the lid won't close all the way. The design requires you to tuck the top of the trash bag over the side of the lid, but doesn't give an easy way to secure it, so the bag can bunch up abs once again the lid can't close. I would find another option.
Trash can dented in two places
I was so excited for this trash can when ordering it, but my hatred for the tiny space for the actual trash has trumped it all. I love the larger space for the recycling but come on! We all need a little more space for the trash. We've only had it for 3 days and I'm already so beyond frustrated with this thing! I've had to take out the little trash just about every day and we only have one little one, I can't imagine a family of 4 or 5. I can't even empty out my vacuum canister without dirt getting everywhere because the canister is bigger than the tiny trash receptacle!
The garbage can came with a huge dent on the side of it. Thought you'd check your merchandise before shipping it out. A big pain. I had it shipped for convenience. But instead I had to bring it to Walmart and wait for a refund to go through. Get your act together please. Now I'm not sure if I should order it again for fear it will have something wrong with it.
If it offered a zero I would give it a zero . I read reviews before purchase and can't believe how off they were. Small cans, specialized bags...no way. Not easy to use and very cumbersome. Did away with the inserts to utilize the whole can and had to cut a plastic middle divider. Interior can not lined so if there is a bag leak it will be messy.
Horrible design to have special sized containers needing custom sized bags. Wish I had paid better attention before I bought it. Trash can size much too small.
