I've had this storage bench for 3 weeks now, and it came with an awful smell inside., as if something crawled in it and died either in the warehouse or during delivery travels... Its a nice bench, yes. But I CANNOT get rid of this smell. I've tried just about everything I can to eliminate the horrid odor. My dog can't seem to keep his boss out of it every time I open it as well... Quite disappointed. I've been using only for shoes at this time (and no, my shoes do not smell, I wear socks at all times and take great care of my shoes- I'm a shoe fanatic).l, o can't bring myself to store my throw blankets in this thing out of fear they'll hold that smell.
