I was a bit leary of buying this set also, as I just thought that it would have to be kind of cheaply made, but for the price, i figured i would give it a try. I brought it home expecting to have to spend several days putting it together. I was amazed when i had the entire set together in just one night! The directions were extremely easy to follow, and all of the parts ( screws, bolts, etc) are all neatly packaged and labeled so there is no guesswork. I am 8 months pregnant and i was able to put this together completely by myself! It also includes all of the tools you need to put it together. I thought the dresser would have been a nightmare, but after assembling the first drawer , the rest all went together very quickly. And the crib was no problem at all, and The changing table took maybe 20 minutes to put together. This set looks amazing all set up with bedding and all, I still find myself sitting in the nursery just admiring how beautiful it looks. If you are on a budget, this is definetly the product for you! It is extremely sturdy, and doesnt feel the slightest bit cheap to me. I love it!
Our daughter is 19 months old and we have enjoyed this product very much. We began using the crib when she as 2 months old and it was a wonderful gift (from my co-workers!). I would highly recommend this for anyone on a budget. The cherry finish makes it look much nicer than you'd think with the cost being so low. My husband has adjusted the crib mattress several times with no problems. We still use the changing table, too, even though our daughter has nearly outgrown it! I would suggest that when your child is old enough to get into the dresser that you bolt it to the wall as it can tip over with drawers open (as any could). Absolute great product and we plan to use it with baby #2 on the way!
My husband and I bought this set with the idea that it may only last through 1 child... still worth it since the whole set was cheaper then most cribs we saw in local stores. After having it put together (my husband did this very easily) I think it may last through two. It's a very good value for the money. I wasn't expecting much, but I'm impressed and I think it will hold up just great for what we need. I would buy this again and recommend it to friends. It looks beautiful in our little girls nursery.
My parents bought this for me and my husband for our first baby. The cherry is so beautiful, and the dresser is bigger than I thought it would be. It goes great with our fisher price rainforest crib bedding set. They aren't lying when they say 'easy one hand open'. The crib is so easy to let down with one hand, no struggle at all. This is such a great price for all three pieces. The changing table has plenty of room on the two shelves and the diaper depot organizer fits great on the side. We have about another month before our baby is born so we haven't seen how it will hold up after being used as much by a baby, but it seems like it will do just fine. All of the peices seems very durable and sturdy. However, one issue, the bottom drawer on the dresser. The front part on one side came off because the screws that came with it doesn't seem long enough. But other than that it's all great. My husband set it up and said it was very easy to assemble together and didn't take very long. Definetly buy this product!
I think this was the perfect start to a wonderful nursery. It basically completes the room and the cherry wood just makes everything look so perfect. i have been using the dresser and changing table for mii babii clothing, diapers etc but i am 2 weekz away from delievery so the crib will start to get much use after mii little girl i born. the crib seems really sturdy so we don't think we will have any issues with safety. all around a great product:-)
I put all three pieces together in less than 4 hrs and that was with a toddler trying to "help". I love the look except for the screws that show. It would have been nice if they would have supplied a cap or even a sticker to make it blend with the finish. The crib seems a little on the flimsy side but it's hard to judge until she is standing on her own and more active. Can't say I'm disappointed, it's a great value for the price paid.
My husband and I bought this set before we had our son, who is now almost 5 months old. I was a little concerned that the furniture wouldn't be as nice, considering the cost. However, I am very impressed with this set! We got the cherry color, and I love it. My only problem is the dresser does feel a little flimsy, but everyone says I'm imagining things. However, the wood is beginning to chip in two places on the crib, which is worrying me. The crib also seems a tad smaller than average cribs, but it's not noticeable... in fact, the only reason I noticed it is because our crib bumper is a bit too long for it. We definitely won't use this furniture with our future babies, and we'll probably spend a little more to get better quality... but for the price, it can't be beat and it does look nice!
First I have to say that my fiancée and I didn't have a lot of money, and since our last crib broke, and we were using our daughter's playpen for her to sleep in, we were pretty desperate to get a good bargain. I have to say that overall I'm very pleased with this product. The crib is extremely sturdy, and the changing table still fits our almost two-year old daughter, and it works great for storage as well. The changing table was a little hard to put together, but my biggest disappointment was the dresser, which took FOREVER to put together, and it's made out of cheap plywood. Some of the pieces didn't even fit right. But after finally getting it all put together, it still works very wonderfully. The cherry is a beautiful color, though it does look a bit different on the picture. It was a great purchase! (At the time of the pictures, we hadn't gotten the changing table put together, sorry!)
We received this set as a gift, and couldn't be happier! It was very easy to put together! The crib and changing table took about 20 minutes a peice. The dresser was a little more challenging, but still not difficult compared to some things we have had to put together! The quality is suprisingly good, considering the price. Even though our little one hasn't arrived yet, I am sure the furniture will hold up just fine. The only drawback as some have already mentioned, is the visible screws on the dresser and crib.
My mom bought this set for me last Jan 07. I love the color and I like the crib. How ever the dresser and the changing table shelves bend and do not stay in place. Except for the top of the changing table. It doesn't take a lot of things in the dresser or on the changing table to make them bend. I have tried everything to get them not to bend. Nothing works. If it wasn't for the bending shelves this would be a great set.
