My girlfriend was pregnant so we were trying to stay away from boa and this expensive bag of sauce was the only one we could find. We started making an exception to get La palmas after trying the sauce out. It wasn't the best and comes in a wierd quantity size.
I made chilaquiles with this sauce was a little spicy but it does taste pretty good I am Mexican you can trust my review lol
The best I have ever used
This is a quick and easy dinner or lunch option, best of all it is a great way to use up leftover shredded beef or chicken! The product comes as a premixed sauce in a pouch with a tear off strip. I both like and dislike the premix. The pre-made sauce does cut out a few steps and makes it easier to get a meal on the table, but I really would prefer avocado oil to the canola it uses. All 3 of my kiddos (1.5yrs, 4.5 yrs and 6) loved their beef enchiladas, the 6 yr old has a zero heat tolerance so she just added more cheese and gobbled them up. Straight out of the package it has a good amount of heat and flavor, but the addition of cheese or sour cream cool things off. I was a bit hesitant because of the cocoa listed in the ingredients, but you don't even know its there. It tastes similar to the red sauce I get at my local "authentic" Mexican restaurant. I will be reordering this again!
This sauce is delicious thick and smoky taste.
