Singer fortunately has some great YouTube tutorials for their machines, I had to watch the one for the 44S to learn how to use it. I'm a beginner, and everything I learn so far was from the Singer YouTube channel.
Very easy to use right out the box. I haven't sewn in decades but this machine made it so easy to get back into the swing of things!
Smooth working and simple to learn to use!
I have not sewn since 8th grade and 36 yrs later I could easily recall what I learned on this sewing machine. I followed the directions and I was quickly sewing my pillows with ease. The machine is a quality and durable machine and sews on duck fabric and burlap with ease! I use this machine to sew pillows for my business.
Ready to use right out of the box. It is very smooth. I am using it to hem quilts, (2 layers of cloth one layer of polyester fill.) I am also using a heavier upholstery thread. The cloth must be laying smooth to advance for each stich. It could use a more aggressive advance to insure that each stitch is full length.
The purchase process was unimaginably simple, my new sewing machine showed up two days after my order was placed. I recommend this machine as it is simple to use, durable, and free of the unnecessary complexities that other machines have. I have been using it to see together canvas and faux fur for Carnival Punks and the machine makes it a breeze even with the thickness of materials used.
I've had this machine for a month and a half and it is awesome! I bought it to make my son a costume and it has worked out really good. I bought some heavy duty needles to sew up some jeans but I haven't tried it out yet, I'm sure it'll work. I don't really have any complaints but if I were to have to complain about something it would be the stitching. I wish there was something that showed what all the stitching looked like but I just grabbed some scraps and stitched all the patterns for a layout.
disclosure. i am a begginner sewer. ok. so you were learning on a smaller machine ( i started with m2100 series) n decided to upgrade right ? well. be prepared! its pretty awesome. aside for ainger vids which are great check out sewing mastery on you yube. i learned so much ! makes using this a breeze! and my i er all experience way more pleasant. i been learning for about a yr. and ao many cuss words iln pilles of thread and hrs wasted cuase i should of watched the videos. even on a small machine im sure youll do so much better. ! anyway. husband has me make iton palm bags and backpack straps so i needed a hvy duty machine. this does not disappoint. singer... please update your videos as some are hard to see very detailed ex auto threader which is amazing! thank you for having that feature! all in all. as i teach my daughter n son how to sew and mend. if they want one i will definitely get them one of thier own.
How do I get help? The machine doesn't have take up lever installed. It's just missing.
Machine came in dirty like it's been used before? and making weird noises. haven't even been able to use it yet
