Although I am just a beginner, my mother used to have a big clunky Singer and always swore by it. The Singer 3337 Simple 29-stitch Sewing Machine looks sleeker, is more compact, easier to thread, the list just goes on. The decorative stitches would make her gasp. The built in needle threader means no more stabbing! I especially love the bright LED light, making it possible to see my work. And don't be fooled by it's low price; it sews like a professional machine. I am very happy with it, and would recommend it to a friend. I am writing this review as part of a contest
Fits on my table nicely for my sewing projects. This machine was easy to learn how to use. It has some advantages that other machines don't have such as filling the bobbin. You just push the bobbin winder over and that's it. No levers to move, no knobs to push or pull out.
while I was sewing with the needle half way up. its only 3 months old and now it's useless. hand wheel will not turn at all and the motor just hums. since I lost the receipt I can not return it.
I has all the automatic features, but is very difficult to figure out each step, especially if you are an older person with arthritis!
I just purchased this machine and am having second thoughts about keeping it. It appears to be plastic junk in relationship to the machine I have used for 43 years. Even the bobbins are plastic and they tell you not to use your metal bobbins. I know I did not pay a fortune for the machine but I did not expect such cheap quality. I am very unhappy with this purchase before sewing a single stitch. Corinne, not happy
Constant issues with the Bobbin Case. I contacted Singer Customer Service, no help what so ever. I was transferred to an outside contractor for singer. No help. Putting the machine in a local shop. Will most likely cost more than the purchase of this machine.
