I purchased this for children aged 6 and 8 for Christmas. I am hearing that they love it. It can even be used like a boom box. They set it up outside on New Years Eve and played music cds on it, while the 8 year old little girl used the microphone to do commentary, "like a reporter", about the fireworks. It seems to be a hit!
I wanted a simple but yet fun karaoke machine for my children. This fit the bill. The machine is easy to use and allows you to use an IPOD as many of us do not use CDs any more. And who needs to know the words to the song anyways? You can see along with your own tunes that you've downloaded. It also has a USB port so if you don't have an IPOD or MP3 player, you can put your music on a USB disk. Worth the money! Great for young children!
We bought for r grandchildren, they hooked it up themselves and love it.
This was a birthday gift for a nine year old . She loves it and spent the whole day performing . Her step sister got A different model of the singing machine as a gift awhile back. They were able to use her mic. on the new machine as well .They had a ball singing duets all day long. It was worth every penny.
Bought this for my granddaughter to replace a unit i had purchased for her for Christmas. It was the same brand, but a less expensive model. After trying two of these units without either working correctly i returned it for a refund. I was a little skeptical in purchasing the same brand, but so far this one is working perfectly. It has many great features for the price and appears to be well constructed. I have taught her the basic operation of the unit and as she becomes more proficient i will teach her to use the USB port, the key changer selectors and how to input her mp3 player into the unit. She is 7 years old and has a great voice and can use the prompts on her TV while singing to brush up on her reading skills. I picked this unit up using Walmart's store pickup feature and it actually arrived four days ahead of the promised date.
Kids love this singing machine. So glad we got it!
Poor,CD player do not want to open.
Had to return. Would play 1 or 2 songs on the cd, then Unit did not recognize that there was a cd or cdg in the player. Very poor quality and sound.
Singing Machine makes a terrible product! Dead out of box. Received a karaoke machine for Christmas and because it's a gift, I don't have a receipt. Singing Machine doesn't care that it won't work even though they have acknowledged that this is a common problem with their machines. They refuse to replace or repair the unit unless I pay for it. Gave me the runaround for a couple weeks. I have finally had enough of the attitude spewed over the phone. Worst customer service. DO NOT BUY!!!
The CD player didn't work when it arrived and even if it did it looked like an accident waiting to happen because it hangs out in mid air to load the cd. I ordered a different one after I returned it.
