I'm very happy with this app and service
I bought this mostly because of the price and with a little work, making it into a two element yagi. the boom that comes with it is almost the length needed for the minimum .15 wave spacing. adjusting it for the lowest band in the paperwork, 26.5 mhz. it's covering 10/11 and 12 meters with under 2:1 swr. if I can find some 3/16 rod three foot long, I think it can be made to work on 15 meters also.
I assembled this antenna last week to replace a fiberglass vertical antenna. I put the antenna vertical about 25 foot high. Static noise is low with good receive. Transmit is good just remember the antenna is a dipole meaning it has no gain. Here are my dimensions for achieving 1.2 swr on cb channel 1 and 1.4 on 40 with 1.5 through the high end of 11 meter band: Cut the radials to 106 inches and set the gamma match to 19.5 inches and you should be close. I achieved these results on icom 718 with 150 watts. I will purchase another sd 27 for horizontal with a rotor...very satisfied
Very well made out of quality materials and easy to assemble
