i ordered this changing table for my new grandaughter which is due any day now. it hasnt been used yet, but looks great and has space to store the things she will need. it comes with the pad, which is great, so i didnt have to order that separate. my son and his wife loved it.
So I bought this product, saw the mix of reviews and thought well lets cross our fingers and see if it comes out well. Well it matches the rest of out cherry wood furniture perfectly and is really sturdy, my only complaints are that they did not provide enough screws (bummed me out but went to hardware store and bought more), the drawer does not open smoothly (big bummer, but I may try to fix that with better hardware for it), and that it took a long time to put together (now I pride myself on being a pretty handy women and puting things together very well, but this was one of my longest projects, but that could be because I am 8 1/2 months prego trying to put this thing together). Well anyways for the price I would say that it is really beautiful, really sturdy, made of real wood (except the shelves), and matches the simplicity ellis collection crib. If I had to do it over I would have gotten the one without the drawer just seems to be a hassel.
The color for this table is closer to red mahogany, too dark to really be cherry. Still very attractive and goes well with our mismatched nursery. Solid wood, not a veneer. No particle board construction, except the shelf panels, which are pressed board with laminate. To be expected, still very sturdy. We got this table on rollback, less than $100. Not much to say about the table. Support bar on top level makes it plenty sturdy. The drawer seems high enough quality to be functional without worry. I have two complaints. One, there is a small crack on a front post, but it's purely cosmetic and easily overlooked. Two, if you find yourself in the same position with your wife too pregnant to help you put it together, good luck. I'm very handy, and a good thing I am, because getting the shelf panels in place was a challenge.
I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT IS VERY NICE FOR THE PRICE WE PAID. I HAD CHECKED OUT OTHER CHANGING TABLES, BUT DIDN'T WANT TO PAY THE HIGH PRICE. I THOUGHT I MIGHT BE GETTING JUNK BECAUSE THIS ONE WAS ON THE CHEAPER SIDE, BUT HAVING USED IT FOR 3 MONTHS NOW I THINK IT'S GREAT...AND VERY USEFUL! IT LOOKS REALLY NICE, TOO.
This changing table is very pretty and looks expensive. It goes very well in the nursery with all of the other furniture in it. The thing that I do not like at all about the changing table is the pull out drawer. The drawer gets stuck everytime you try to open it and you have to just wiggle it out. The shelf directly under the drawer doesn't hold things well because the drawer is too low down. I guess for the price of the table I can live with it. Other than that it seems great. It seems to be very sturdy but I will know more once my baby girl arrives and I actually use it.
I just received the changing table and let me start off by saying that at first I thought it was going to be hard to assemble, 20 minutes later my husband was done! the changing table looks great in my daughter's room. I think that for the price it looks very fancy and kind of expensive I should say. One little problem was that one of the corners was a little cracked maybe from the traveling and the drawer it's kind of wiggly, but I'm willing to deal with it because of the price and the overall quality, it looks GREAT! and my baby loves it!! It's also a very good size which is even better. I would buy this product again without thinking about it....(by the way I'm extremely picky n hard to satisfy and it worked for me!) thanks to the other reviews.
We were looking for a table based mostly on color, and it matches our other nursery furniture perfectly. The shelves are nice and the overall look of the item is pleasant It meets my expectations for sturdiness, but is not impressive. The slide-out drawer is bogus, It does not glide smoothly, no matter how many adjustments you make. The drawer itself doesn't fit together quite right. but Hey it does look sleek. Overall we are fairly satisfied, it was about what we expected. If you want a low-cost changing table that looks nice, go for it.
After the table was setup we found that we cannot utilitze the 1 drawer. It sticks so bad that we can't open it; when we do open the drawer it sheds shavings on the shelf. We have tried everything but nothing seems to work. We decided just not to use the drawer.
Overall table is OK...Frame is sturdy, but the shelves are too thin and quite flimsy.. Worst problems are with the drawer..It sticks on every opening and close...Ours did not match the finish on the rest of the piece, and looked very worn on edges even brand new....Needs handle or knob, drawer front bows as it opens...Not very satisfied for price...About a $49 item in terms of quality
What a piece of junk. Do not buy this table. The shelves are flimsy pressed cardboard and each one cracked as we spent hours putting this together. The wood scratches easily and its not that sturdy. The drawer never worked properly and gets stuck and caught after we've tried repeadly to fix it. I hope I save at least one person from disappointment and hours of wasted time putting this mess together.
