Everything in my order was fine except the tomato. I asked for a single slicing tomato with a pack of Roma (Plum) tomatoes as the substitute if the single tomato was unavailable. I received a badly bruised Roma tomato. I’m making burgers tonight, simple yet specific request of my husband returning from military duty and tomatoes tend to give a burger just the right umpf. Now I don’t have my tomato because this one is being thrown in the trash. It didn’t even come in its own produce bag, it was up under to packs of buns. I’m guessing it was an over ripe tomato to begin with for it to be squished by bread. I ordered two items two days ago: a case of gogo squeeze applesauce and a bottle of Pedialyte for my sick 1 year old. The delivery driver only delivered the applesauce. Trying not to lose faith in the Walmart app’s delivery service.
One of my tomatoes was very soft and way over ripe. Starting g to go bad and I know the inside is mushy. Terrible shop. I’ve had my produce shopped for over a year and a half and this is the worst shop yet. This one tomato is in bad shape and the shopper had to feel it when they picked it up. Really dissatisfied.
First of all the groceries looked beat up. Second I ordered sliced tomatoes not Roma tomatoes, nowhere in the order did it say they were replacing them. Third when he delivered the groceries he put the 40 vottled pack of drinking water on top of the tomatoes 😠 First time having groceries delivered to my new address and it was not a good experience.
The tomatoes have little worm holes on them and one of the tomatoes is the size of a grapefruit and has several little holes on it. The other one was normal sized and had one hole in it.
So......on the left is the slicing tomato I received 2 weeks ago on a grocery pickup from Walmart. Notice its slicing size. On the right is the "slicing" tomato I received today. Smh
If you’re expecting to receive fresh tomatoes in a pickup order from Monett, MO, I’d reconsider. I received 4 rotting tomatoes with what appears to be maggots inside one. They all smell strongly of vinegar so I know they’ve been rotting awhile and the associate had to of known about it. Completely unacceptable!
I ordered two SLICING tomatoes, and in their place, I received five ROMA tomatoes, a vast difference; these Romas were not a good substitution, even if a sub was needed. It appeared that slicing tomatoes were available. The shopper just got the wrong tomatoes.
I ordered SLICING TOMATOES the shopper picked ROMA TOMATOES. There isn't anbar code on either of the bruised (ugly) tomatoes. see the photo
It’s the first time I order tomatoes and not a good experience. It looked fine on one side and on the other it had a big black moldy hole. I don’t recommend ordering fresh fruits or vegetables since the person picking your order doesn’t really examine the fruit/veggie well. The rest of the order was fine.
I picked up my grocery order this morning at the store located at 15757 COIT RD, Dallas, TX 75248 and, to my surprise, I received five Roma tomatoes instead of 3 romas and 2 large slicing tomatoes. I will pick my own produce from now on although I will need to come in the store before I pick up my order. I have forgotten some items in the past and I have had to go inside but I will make it a habit in the future to go inside and pick my own produce.
