we used this food for a baby squirrel that we saved after a hawk attack! It loved it and we've since released "Darwin" back into the wild. I'd say it was a success.
My rat loved this mix better then what I got from Chewy.com and it was half the price. Came with all her favorite s particularly the corn if you soak the corn in some water they love to eat it that away!
They love this food, especially the sunflower seeds as they love popping them open. Don't be surprised if your mice pick them all out! But even if they will only eat it, still only have to buy every two months
feeds 2-3 large fancy rats, 1/2 cup a day lasts a pretty nice amount of time for the price. our boys like it pretty well and mix it with a few hardboiled eggs chunks of fresh fruit (we give ours strawberries, apples and sometimes a few chunks of pineapple [counter dried]) and you got yourself some 'soft werebois'. try your own recipes just make sure not oo much sugars.
Fresh enough that most seed will pass the sprout test. Just not liking sunflower seeds, but itdoes help keep it affordable. My African Soft Fur colony gets this as a weekly treat, and growth pellets as primary source with supplemental meal worms and fruit/ veggies on rotating basis (yes, i am a science teacher, feeding beloved balls, and trying to gentle down these beautiful critters to be better pets. SO, nutrients are important, but costs are still a factor. The food varieties help engage them.)
Horrible quality food. Mice and rats have very different dietary needs and this food mix doesn't suit either. Only purchased because their regular food got delayed, very convenient to have Walmart sell a product for the commonly overlooked animals but would definitely rather it be a GOOD product.
I found bugs in the feed bag and the feed itself.
My order was not delivered to my address and that is why I am very unsatisfied with the purchase. I have purchased this product in the past and have been very happy with both the quality and the price.
i was feeding this to my anaimls till i found it hate mites!!! DO NOT BUY!!
Wish I could give 0 stars!!! There is some kind of bug in the bag I bought!! Absolutely nasty!! So glad I seen something move when I got home, before I was about to open it and add it to my feed container!!!!
