I had to stop and get some more racket straps to hold down a tablesaw for a trip home. They worked great!
My Husband thinks they are great 😃
I picked these straps over the cheap ones because of the great reviews they received and I am so glad I did. They are GREAT quality and not to mention that you get 4 straps instead of the usual 2. I used these straps in the rain and they stayed put and didn't get soaking wet. I recommend these straps for those hardworking individuals that need a really good set.
The reason for a 4 and not a 5 star rating is the fact it took me way too long to remove the packaging. The packaging was ridiculous and in my opinion to the extent the straps were secured, it is not necessary. The straps were used to secure a load on a utility trailer and worked as expected.
The hooks are a little bit shallow , I used the extra length to tie the hook so it could not come off. Velcro ties on the running end are nice but a little difficult to run though the sinch eye.
before you use it there's a long bolt to go through it where the handle is tighten it up first. four out of three fell out but it stayed tightly of the time of the 2,500 mi trip
The wrachet broket after 2 uses
i bought these straps because i was moving stuff in a uhaul truck from Illinois to Florida. After I made it back to Florida and unloaded the truck, I tried to get the straps to release so that I could properly store them and et them ready for the next use. I know how to release them it
figured these would be better than others ,but these are not any better .The ratchets stick from the first use , you need both hands to work these , strap part seems ok but nit the ratchet part
I bought the 4 piece set on clearance. They strapped down fine, but I could not get any of them to release. Luckily, I was using them to hold down a matress, and I was able to pry the hooks of the truck without cutting the straps. I felt like an idiot for a moment when I couldn't get them to release, but two other people couldn't get them off either. After I examined the ratchet piece, I found that the release bar (which is supposed to raise above the teeth when the ratchet is folded out) is too narrow. One side of the release slides on the ratchet frame like it's supposed to, and one side stays in contact with the teeth. I was able to scootch it over with a flathead screwdriver and get the strap unwound. I would return them, but someone threw away the package when they cleaned out the truck. Also, the straps are made of flimsy nylon webbing. I would not trust them to strap down something really heavy.
