I bought this a moth ago. Been using it to pull trees in western Oklahoma. Has been working great. And I’ve already abused them.
Easy to handle not harsh on other components, not abrasive as a chain.
While we use these types of straps often to pull out 26,000 pound trucks that are stuck in mud or sand, I have only used this particular strap a half dozen times. That being said it preformed as well as expected. I have paid much more for the same style strap from other suppliers and it preformed as well as them at 60% of the cost. Very pleased.
I HAVE BEEN BUYING FROM NORTHERN A LONG TIME AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD LUCK WITH QUALITY AND SERVICE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND NORTHERN FOR ALL YOUR INDUSTRIAL NEEDS
Straps are made of high quality material and are very strong. They haven't shown any signs of wear yet.
Well made and very strong, towed several heavy vehicles and just enough give to smooth things out a bit, had a bad storm come through and used it to pull several trees on the ground and found its one weakness, realized that it had the tree trunk on top of it and dragging on the ground, cut it in two pieces, not the products fault just a time that a chain would work better for the job, already bought another to have at the ready
Needed a replacement for a 35 year old Recovery Strap - This New Strap is great and easy to handle - Rolls up to fit in storage place on my truck
Have not had a chance to use, but is built sturdy with a 25,000 lb break strength. Its bright yellow which makes it easy to see.
Broke 4 tow straps, a chain, and our spirits trying to get a dozer out of what was basically quicksand. The dozer was basically submerged, which made it 2-3x the force required to pull it out normally. There were too many roots to dig and we didn't have that kinda time anyway.. We finally stopped what we were doing and drove an hour each way to get these tow straps from Northern Tool. Once we got them hooked up, we had the dozer out within 60 seconds! These straps are the real deal! We will /never/ buy crappy tow straps again!
This is such good quality and the price was excellent
