There are a ton of smokers out there to choose from when you looking to buy, but if you need a large smoke, you will not find a better deal than the Smoke Hollow 44"". I've had my Smoke Hollow 44"" for over five years now and it is still going strong. I love that I can only use one burner to keep it in the 225-240 range for small to medium smoke jobs, but it can defiantly hold more. I have successfully smoked five pork butts at once. It produces plenty of smoke, although you do have to monitor the wood as it burns through it pretty quick. I would definitely recommend the Smoke Hollow, for it's price and size, you will not find a better smoker for your money.
I love the two door feature, so that you dont lose heat when adjusting wood chips or water pan. Very good smoker and holds heat well. Love the dual burner is convenient and cooks evenly...
First unit shipped was damaged, but returned to local store without issue. Second arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Started without any issues and worked great. Only complaint concerns no gasket around doors. Easily rectified, but the extra $15 and time to order/install was bothersome.
I've used this smoker several times now and really enjoy it. On the plus side is its size for its cost. I can smoke 5 full size beef briskets at one time or a combination of items when I'm preparing for a large meal. The temperature control is good as at times I'll only run one burner at a time once I get it going to hold the temp in the sweet spot for smoking. On the con side when smoking a large amount of meat as I mention above there is a lot of excess fat run off and the drip try does not accommodate it very well. The unit should be placed on dirt or gravel so the grease can run off. Since that is not an option for me I've built a box on a furniture dolly filled with shop absorbent (cheap kitty litter) to catch the run off. Yes the unit is not sealed really well but that does not detract from its performance meats get plenty of smoke. Also the smoke chip trays are a bit thin I would have preferred a cast iron tray but so far they are working fine when they are hot and you add wet chips they will warp a bit but they seem to return to their original shape. Despite the cons I still give this unit 4 stars and would recommend it based on price, performance and capacity for a home smoker.
Great quality products easy to navigate there web site. The problem is there customer service I ordered this product for my son's birthday but I used the wrong address but I still clicked on purchase. After I had realized it was the wrong address I emailed them right away. and I also called to confirm after being on hold for 47 minutes the rep I was working with said they can't change the address after the purchase so he said what he could do after he couldn't locate my order number is to cancel this order and then I would just have to reorder it which was fine it was my error. Then I asked for a confirmation email about what he was doing and completed, the next morning I received a confirmation order of the purchase not the cancelation. So 3-4 days of writing emails of my situation and many phone calls but that just turned out for me to stay on hold for hours with no response. There automatic generic email was explaining how they are a inbound company only, I ask in at least 4 emails to them to have a human contact me gave the my email again and my cell number so there was no excuse. Then on the 4 day I received and email saying they had shipped the product. So for a long story short (too late) no one ever canceled the order or answered the emails or call me. Very upset former customer, Scott Robertson order #002-5370307276.
lots of gaps at the corners. The door hinch is broken off. contact manufacture for replacement door. POOR quality.
